I use an AMD card so I don’t know if Nvidia cards have it as well. I leveled all the way to 80 with this setting on in my catalyst control panel and one day turned it off to see if there was FPS improvement. Made the game and icons look much sharper. It’s as if this setting just blurs the screen. Just wanted to let other players who weren’t aware to turn it off.

I share the same sentiment. Ever since turning off anti-aliasing, I can never go back to the blurry textures. It also reduces a lot of the ugly bloom effect.

Anti-aliasing on = standard
Anti-aliasing off = HD

Which might say something about the graphics in the game…

I have NVIDIA on my laptop and AMD on my desktop, both of which have GW2 installed. I keep anti-aliasing off on both of them.

There are different kinds of AA. Morphological filtering is supposedly pretty good, but it affects everything you see, including UI, so I wouldn’t recommend it. Guild Wars 2 uses FXAA by default. Unfortunately, FXAA is pretty bad and blurry. It’s so common only because it’s relatively fast. You can use another form of AA by using a shader injector like SweetFX. For example, I use SweetFX just for its SMAA.

In general, I’d advise not to use any Catalyst Control settings, if you don’t know what they do.
