Most Romantic Places in Tyria
i’ve got a musician perfect for the situation!!!
I love the waterfall area in Queendale. This is near where the bears attack the bee hives and where that big fish spawns. It’s one of the most beautiful sites in Tyria.
As far as romantic suggestions . . . I would suggest you take your girlfriend to a real location if you want to . . . ahem . . . earn some real loving.
You could always go sit with the Romancing Seraphette and Romancing Bandito in kittenattler Caverns. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/kittenattler_Caverns
My husband and I got eachother gem cards for Valentine’s Day so we could buy pretty things for our characters. Best Valentine’s Day ever.

ok that was truly awful.
There’s a cave in Gendarren in the mines in the lower left corner of the map. There’s also a secret location in the Grove as well.
I like the Bane in the Black Citadel. For Iron Legion!
Maybe put walk mode on and take a stroll through Timberline Falls. It’s a wonderful looking map i’m sure you will find many pretty spots there.
The treehouse in Shaemoor is a lovely location with a sweeping view, though your date will include giggling children at play.
You could go to the Ebonhawke inn for a bed&breakfast experience (including a raucous drunk).
In the Grove’s home instance you can climb to the top housing pod for a secluded summer-feeling spot.
In Malchior’s Leap, east side, there is the Pyrite area with the glowing golden ball. Just watch out for earth elementals.
Timberline Falls has any number of lodges.
Lornar’s Pass has high snowy mountains galore. It also has the Marionette area. Why not celebrate your love at a place of victory, and turn what was a battlefield into a pleasant park?
Or for warmer climes, try the central island in Gendarren. Sure it’s full of pirates, but they never go up on the hill with a vista.
Just a few ideas off the top of my head without being in game to look at the map
Oddly enough this has actually been a very informative post. I’d never come across the star crossed Bandito and Seraphette before.

Their love is eternal!

They’re so fixated on one another that they never notice the pack(s) of ghost wolves that rush through there every once in awhile.
Please give us a keyring…
Romancing Seraphette: Do you hear howling?
Romancing Bandito: Ahhh, must be Saturday. Now, tell me more about how dashingly handsome I am.
To the person suggesting going out to a real place on Valentine’s: Boyfriend (not OP) and I decided long ago to keep our usual weekend morning coffee date, pick up tasty food that’s too pricey to buy every week (eating on the balcony to watch the sun go down) and watch a movie we’ve been wanting to see. Going out will be crowded, overpriced, and won’t let us get safely sloppy drunk (gotta drive home!). Our favorite time is the time we have to play together.
So many good suggestions so far. GOTTA visit the Seraphette and Bandito, theirs is a classic tale. There’s also a Seraph husband and wife couple involved in a quest in Kryta somewhere but I don’t remember atm. It’s a Shining Blade wife looking for her husband and the quest chain starts here.
I love Divinity’s Reach, especially the garden of the Upper City’s Central Plaza (outside the queen’s throne room… the area around the Lion’s Arch asura gate). My boyfriend and I even had a nice day where we wandered around DR places less traveled like the Ossan Quarter. If it’s still possible, I highly recommend breaking out of the map and enjoying the moonlight on the top of the DR roofs… super romantic overlooking that garden. Just be sure to use ground targeting skills to scout before leaping to a new roof that may not actually be coded to support players walking on them, haha.
There’s also the hidden garden in The Grove. Or The Hidden Garden itself in Mount Maelstrom! You guys can take a lover’s leap off the diving platform at the top :D There’s a bridge in Mount Maelstrom, too (nw I think?) that is beautiful at night. I think the Kodan Boats in Frostgorge Sound offer some pretty romantic views if snow is more your thing. I’m also quite partial to the Oasis in Dry Top, but I can see how that might not be for everyone. The fireballs falling from the sky in Fireheart Rise is pretty awe inspiring, too, though I’m not sure where the best view of that away from a sea of enemies would be.
Is it bad of me to suggest the Dwayna quest chain that starts with Malchor throwing himself off the cliff? ;)
It might be more personal to find places that have good memories for you two. Take her on a tour of your favorite memories of playing with her, tell her the memory and give her a kiss for each one :D or play her a little song if you have an in-game instrument (you can always buy one-use bells off the trading post). Harp is the obvious gemstore instrument choice for this day, though, let’s be real.
Might I also suggest finding some chocolate foods in game to give her (there are chocolate covered fruits, yeah?) and maybe something cute to run around as, like some jackalope tonics or something. There’s also this relatively useless but sweet little accessory you could give her (maybe she’ll even find the misspelling of Memento endearing haha).
I hope you two have a nice Valentine’s :)
ETA: My boyfriend suggests the top of Rata Sum at night. The skybox is incredible.

Good god. Reminds me of when I used to play MUDs. That was a long time ago.
That said, why would you go anywhere in Orr? Drippy, zombie-infested and overall disgusting. Unless that’s your thing.
The Grove would get my vote… it’s got the nice “tink-tink” musical background, waterfalls and shiznit, and it’s all flowery and colorful. But sylvari get in the way of course, the traitorous salad bowls they are.
Or you could get your viking on and go to one of the halls in Hoelbrak. Baby it’s cold outside, roaring fire, mead and all that.
Orr, it’s definitely orr.
Orr you could you know, take her out to dinner in real life.

Ooh, definitely the “sauna room” in the Grove. Dive to an underwater tunnel in the Garden of Dawn and you’ll come up in this room filled with waterfalls and a bamboo forest. Super pretty.

Orr they could play the game they both enjoy playing, especially since she kind of suggested it. Plus, as OP says, it’s pretty cold and gross where they are right now. Staying in, playing some video games, and maybe cooking together (or ordering pizza) sounds like a much more fun Valentine’s evening than fighting the crowds that will inevitably be at every restaurant in town.
Not every girl needs to be taken out to dinner to be happy on Valentine’s Day.
Oh, speaking of saunas, you could go to the Hot Springs in Wayfarer Foothills. Have a romantic dip with the giant burly norn.

I concur. My wife was wanting to go out, but being the weekend, and everywhere is going to be overcrowded it just wouldn’t be as romantic as we wanted. So will be staying in, ordering pizza, and having a Star Trek Marathon! (Her idea, BTW)
On topic. The Grove is a great place (IMO) for a romantic “getaway” That “secret” waterfall place would be really cool. However, unless you are trying to be secluded that may not work out. You might find a few other couples with the exact same idea. If you have a Sylvari character, you canalways do something in your home instance, to keep things a bit more private if you want. But there are some REALLY cool places where couples can get out of the way and have a date.
It’s the chain I beat you with until you
recognize my command!”

Yes! Thank you that was driving me nuts. I had thought of this and then mentally moved and went “wait, did I forget something?” -.-() That norn is hilarious.
Speaking of romantic couples, there’s a newlywed pair in the Ascalon Settlement that’s adorable. So long as centaurs don’t attack, in fact, that’s a fine place to hang out. Lots of prettiness, and if you go up to the tomb on the north side you can look out over the water.
Figure I’ll use my 400 Gem stones acheived through my AP milestone (5k?) to buy her the rose boquet…. just in case have backup real dozen roses, but I know which I’d prefer The chocolates have nice shrink and grow effects though……
If you see any place you like, but can’t figure out where it is, let me know.

And get serenaded with a little tune every so often

If you play GW1, I suggest the top of Anvil Rock.
If you want to escape the cold and experience that tropical feeling, go to Southsun Cove and down to the beach. You even get stripped into a bikini, there’s a bar and food there, but others may have the same idea. Still that would be my choice.
Two more goodies (see pictures for locations).
Bottom left corner of Timberline Falls… there’s a hidden cave with a quiet waterfall inside, and illumination through a natural skylight. Seclusion is the big advantage here. Not well known.
Prettiest falls in the game is the Vista in Kessex Hills. Noisy, but a few nice little “picnic” spots. It’s a Vista for a reason!
You’re welcome. Enjoy! Happy Valentine’s Day.
Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm the rest of his life.

Oh oh! Coddler’s Cove! Very pretty place.
I just realized that romantic needn’t mean serene and lovely. Depends on who you’re with! Before I joined my WoW Horde guild, they had an Orcish wedding in Thunder Bluff (for non WoWers, that’s a Native American style city atop tall mesas, generally a peaceful and sunny place). As the ceremony/rite proceeded, the Alliance chose that moment to raid the city. My guildies wiped the floor with them — in RP clothes. And the bride and groom declared it the most awesome Orc wedding ever, they got a bloody battle for it!
So maybe you’re a pair of Norns and you want to leave a trail of Svanir bodies through Frostgorge. That could be one way to do romance

Cuddler’s cove, amirite? Eh? Eh?
I’m sorry.

Best wedding ever.
It says something about me that my first thought was “Mystic Forge! You throw in four ex-lovers, and you might get a better one back!”
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
Unfortunately I have not found a really romantic places Asura. it drives me to despair.
