Most Superior Runes are useless
They shouldn’t have stats to begin with IMO.
Runes are the type of horizontal progression this game should’ve focused on.
What’s more fun than customizing different procs to compliment your build? Like a diablo-clone.
Wait until they add a few tweaks to the game mechanic. This far, I assume they already acknowledge the flaws of their core design and supplement it with something interesting that will make all builds and specs useful in dungeons. Variety will be once again desired and unicorns will vomit rainbows inside dungeons and… I need to get off this medication.

My hybrid non-zerker Mesmer build is far from what leet-wannabes consider “efficient” or “optimal” for dungeons. However, I am usually the last one to drop and contribute the most amount of damage in my parties. I run at least 10 dungeon runs every single night. I make up for not having a “perfect build” (puke) with having skill.
As long as you have something in your build that helps the entire group (even if it’s only a little) you are being useful in dungeons.
The entire game isn’t based around doing as much damage as you can in dungeons. The utility provided by runes is often far more useful than the stat increase.
While some rune sets are noticeably weaker, nearly every set would have some sort of use in a build in wvw or pvp. Anet have allready said they are working on improving the weaker sets.
