Most active server?
My server is nearly dead as well. I rarely see anyone on Gate of Madness, because people started quitting GW2 left and right on my server. I’d be lucky to see two people in 5 hours nowadays. I swear, the entire server must have had a meeting and decided to quit GW2 right then and there and I wasn’t invited.

Gate of Madness here too, and I agree, I go by the world and Im lucky to find players outside Orr/LA/Queensdale other than bots.
The only reason I feel deterred to start a new char and map completition is because of how tedious was doing it alone, and doing with a guildmate isnt the same, usually at some point one goes farther than the other due to someone not logging in and what-not.
I feel that the reason we get this is because of poor the reward system is, you actually get punished for going out there in the world and exploring, it is almost as if done purposely to gather people around certain points ….. Anything you do outside CoF, Orr, Dragon hunting. Fractals will pretty much set you behind i gold/experience/mats.

Depends what you are looking for. A lot of servers have unofficially dedicated themselves to certain aspects (RP, PvP, PvE).
Tarnished Coast (the unofficial RP server), is very highly active with a large population. We also have a nice dedicated PvP team and our PvE is pretty decent as well. We RP too if you are into that and have a very friendly and welcoming home.
Can’t speak for the other servers, but hopefully some others can give you incentive into what they offer. Hope that helps.

I might have to tryout tarnished coast. I mostly do wvw but I find myself doing other activities, leveling up, exploring, it’s just lonely if I want to do events that require a group and I have to skip it cause there’s nobody around. I really like this game, I feel like I’m not forced to level up as fast as I can or I’ll miss out on all the gear progression.

Not trying to recruit, just answering the OP’s question. He is looking for a populated world so he isn’t lonely. TC is exactly that. People have trouble transferring to our world cause it is so full all the time. He wants population, so I filled him in on TC.

Have you taken a look at our WvW recently? It’s due to pretty much everyone on the server doing WvW on a specific day all at once. I’m not going to tell you which day because it would give an unfair advantage to you, but a bunch of people decided that our WvW was nearly a lost cause and they shout out in LA when it’s time for the WvW gathering. This is the only way we can possibly do anything in WvW. I don’t know what servers you’re looking at, but mine is clearly dead. That’s for WvW, and for PvE, I can’t find a group for a dungeon anymore unless it’s CoF part 1.

I see folk all over the place. LA is busy, Dragon zones of course are busy. Harathi is busy. WvWvW is pretty busy and fun as well. Heck I even see folks in Rata sum and metrica province while I’ve been leveling my asura(Level 5 and climbing! Go go little guy)

its also partly the lame culling system that’s to blame.
maybe a world population is high but you just can’t see all the characters.. makes you wonder just how old this technology is if it can’t handle something that is considered basic.

To be honest, every server that is “Very High” should do. There’s no server that is most active but many servers that are very active. Blackgate, Jade Quarry, Sanctum of Rall, Dragonbrand and Fort Aspenwood are most likely just as active as TC.

I’ll tell you why TC is probably more active than most servers….at least in the open world. Because it’s the unofficial RP server, and because RPers tend to have TONS of alts, and because they tend to level them in the open world, there’s a lot of traffic in the open world. Even a lot of the middle level zones have people in them (something you don’t see on many servers).
As an example, I have over 15 characters (I think I’m up to 18) but only 6 of them are max level. I have a lot of open world playing left to go. And I’m not alone. Many people in my guild have lots of characters they’re leveling in the open world.

TC has a equal if not higher PvE population then JQ in my opinion. This is after guesting to JQ for several weeks in comparison to my home server, Tarnished Coast.
