Which professions are challenging to level but feels rewarding once leveled ?

Well, I really didn’t find ANY professions challenging to level, tbh. PvE leveling is easy for me no matter what I’m playing.

Now, if you’d asked which professions are challenging to PvP with, that’d be a different story…

Mesmer imo. Most of its powerful abilities arent unlocked early, and it does low solo damage. Plus you can’t facetank damage.

But after leveling to max level do you have the feeling that everything was worth it ?

If you have played WoW during WOTLK you would know how painful it was to level a pally.

And you get Divine Storm at 60, then everything changes.

Like that will you feel satisfied with your dmg output/utility at max level with Mesmer ?

Leveling in GW2 is actually extremely easy compared to WoW. You have multiple options for extra experience gain and level boosts. The personal story and map completion grant a hefty amount of experience.

Now, as far as which profession is easiest/hardest to level, that all depends on what you enjoy playing. You should play what you will enjoy playing at end game. Leveling any profession to max level is rewarding, because, well, you leveled to max level. Don’t focus so much on which one is easy or hard to level, and focus more on what YOU will enjoy playing.

For me, engineer was. Only 3 weapons to chose from and one kit at level 11, then not another kit till level 15.

Hrmm. There’s no single skill that makes mesmer amazing, that I will say. For me this game was about pvp, and once i hit lvl 80 I was very happy with its performance.

I’m not so hot on the PvE situation atm but i believe mesmer is still in the meta… for its utility rather than its damage.

From hardest to easiest for me:

Mesmer
Elementalist
Necromancer
Guardian
Revenant
Thief
Warrior
Ranger
Engineer

That and it’s super slow mobility. I kept getting bored lvling my Mesmer and just fed him tomes.
