I’m back at trying to get full ascended armors (don’t even know why because I rarely wvw) so I would appreciate if you guys could tell me the best plays to farm gold in pve!
I’m aware of most (dung, mining, etc) but I’ve been gone for like 3 months so maybe there’s a new way that I don’t know about yet.
Level 60 pvp
Ele & thief main (full ascended)
Down with the braindead faceroll classes.
Iron ore farming. But price is dropping fast. Kind of like ori/wood farm in orr. But you look for rich iron node instead.
There’s also the SE champ box farming. Require a coordinate group though. Just run through the dungeon till you kill the 3 champ robot and skip the boss and reset the dungeon. It is kind of like cof path 1 farm. You get 5 champ box + a bunch of blue/green/yellow and high chance of core and lodestone. You really need a good group to do it though so you can do it in 4-5 minutes.
There is also the linen farming. Best to do with lvl appropriate characters so you can avoid getting silk instead. But there are rumors Anet ban players for farming in some locations since people’ll purposely don’t complete event to farm linen.

Remember to count wp fees when determining if it is worth it to farm these over some other gold farming method. I haven’t done any calculation but I wanted to point it out to alleviate surprises if there would be any.
Why not learn to solo arah without exploits, a run is about 40mins you can sell 4 spaces 8gish each, that’s 32g a run and you only get quicker
The time it would take to learn how to solo the dungeon, including GL, would likely not be worth it for a lot of people. That’s not even considering a very large percentage probably would never ever be able to accomplish that.

The link vol showed pretty much give all the guaranteed locations. There are other areas which have “possible temporary location”. You can check the wiki for that too. One interesting thing about the iron at the gendarren field location(champ spider) is you might be able to guest a bunch of times into overflow (due to the event) and do it a bunch of times. Also for some reason the one at spider you can do it at least 3 times(probably because it is have a champ there by guesting)

Not to mention it takes ages for selling parties to fill up (given up how many there are nowadays with so many exploits).

I think the guaranteed rich nodes just reset daily like ori ore and ancient logs during reset. But if you try to do it too close in proximity(1 hour before reset and 1 hour after reset again), you have to wait a few more hours.
I’m uncertain about the pattern and reset of the temporary rich ore. My guess is they change location during server reset or when no one is on the map. I usually don’t try to look for temporary rich node, since they dont’ give guaranteed reward. But there is also the plus that you can find it multiple times 0-3 times by guesting on the same location.
The iron node at the champ spider is the exception. It seemed to always give a rich iron node as long as you changed to a different instance.
