As title says, what’s the most gold you’ve had at one time? Don’t need to say how you got it, I just wanna see how poor I am compared to others, seeing as the most gold I’ve ever had at one point was 20ish gold.

I’m probably near the bottom sitting at 7, but that mainly cause I’m not a saver. I’m always buying stuff.

Whats the point of having money if your not going to use it

120 gold. Saved it up for my tier 3 cultural armour.

102g i have right now. 600+ hours on one character, haven`t bought anything fancy once (all my gear is self-crafted).

200g, because thats the requirement for Golden.
since then i’ve always spent gold before accumulating too much.

This wintersday I got lucky with an Endless Gift Dolyak Tonic, at first I thought I had bad luck because there were none on the trade post the next morning there were people asking for one 100 gold+
Don’t give anything about tonics so put it up there for 110 right away and it sold in a few mins.
Lol, I even had to suck dry all my alts to scrape enough gold together to even put it up there :P
Spent all the gold on sup runes of holding and now have 160 slots of inventory!!

I had 450 pieces of gold ore at one time.

I don’t usually keep track. Definitely more than 2000g. Never drop below 1000g.

30. Most expensive cultural t3 piece.

16G atm. I don’t put too much focus on $$$. It will grow…over time….over long time…..over long long LOOOOONNNNGGG TIME….but it will grow!

48G and I’ve clocked at about 500 hours now (currently got 15 left)

45g most at one time. Saved up to buy 3 new character slots. Took me about a month and I only did it then cause I found a Abyss dye which sold for 20g.

Had the game since 1st day of retail release and since then probably gone through 200g at the most.

The most I’ve has is around 10g that I saved to buy Whispers armour.
I spend money like crazy in this game- so I started banking anything over 1g per char.
This seems to work since I’m up to 7g in the bank now in about 2 weeks , starting from 50s All my chars still have 1g a piece and 3 of them are still leveling crafting .
I also bought tier 1 cultural armour for my Sylvari.

I am addicted to dyes and skins though so I’ll never be rich

35g I think if counting money on other characters and in the bank as well. Otherwise I think its around 15g.

50 something gold. Then I bought the T3 pants and boots.

The most I’ve ever had is right now. I’m not going to count the silvers of every character, but I have one char a six and two a bit over one gold each. Lets put it this way: I’ve never yet exceeded 9 gold.

I understand that others apparently make that kind of cash in a couple of hours. For me that is the result of three weeks saving and exploring.

Probably around 50 gold on one character. Combine it with what is in my bank, maybe around 60-65 total. Combine across all 4 max level characters, probably 75.

I really dont know how people get hundreds of gold so easily without gem trading. Farming dungeons is a decent way to make SOME gold but I cant see it as a great source to get 200 gold or more for that legendary pre cursor. Id love to know how people make so much…and I guess Ill save that fun for when I go after my legendary. But that is after:
1. I level all classes(except ranger) to max level
2. Gear out exotics on 3 or 4 of them.
3. Keep up on the latest ascended gear with one or two of them
4. Map completion on all

So, looking at another…2-3 months before I really start caring about how much gold I have.

Currently sitting on 2400g, but max I’ve had is 3000g.

I didn’t farm this amount, buy any gold or manipulate markets (I did flip rares occasionally though)… I slowly made a legendary just through playing and minimal to no grinding then sold it for 3400 on trading post.\

Currently in process of rebuying all materials for another legendary (about 1k gold) which’ll leave me 1.4k which is still more money than I’ll probably ever need.

I’m not really sure who is willing to spend 3k+ on a legendary, I don’t value them more than 2k, but I must thank whoever did. Gold was by far the hardest part to make a legendary and I sold it for 3x the gold cost. I nearly have the extra karma to make myself another without having to farm, this one I won’t be selling though!

The most I’ve had has been 120g, just enough for the Tier 3 cultural set

95 gold right now, from selling my The Crossing that I looted during Halloween.

160 if I sell my Arachnophobia for the same price…

26g. Then bought tier 3 legs ^^ now saving for the top, then the rest.
It has no hurry at all for me. If I feel like buying something else in the meantime I just do so anyways. :P

I made bolt which I’m making it again for myself. I’m a mesmer and don’t think the greatswords suit the class to well, I prefer vision of the mists and I also didn’t want to be restricted to GS only since I enjoy shatter build as well.

I didn’t intend to sell it, and if I had made it 2 weeks earlier before you could I wouldn’t have but I couldn’t pass up opportunity to sell for 3x the gold cost when I found that to be by far the hardest part to acquire.

Nothing really, it’d be a really easy way to make large amounts of gold but I can’t be bothered to world complete another alt (even though it’s quick), let alone grind karma per weapon. I don’t like grinding which is why I’ve done pretty much none, all my karma came from WvW and dailies which worked out to be enough just due to play time without having to grind orr at all.

Also like I said, don’t really need gold for anything. The only thing I could possibly spend it on would be to fully deck my char with 3 legendary’s but don’t care enough and love the look of my current other weapons anyway.

And thanks! this will be my second and most likely final one on my Guardian for a long while, wanted bifrost too but will probably end up just making gift of fortune / mastery again until we get cheaper precursors.

I have played a lot since headstart (for me), about 1,050+ hours-I just don’t care to farm gold (or anything), to be honest. My playstyle is more take it as it comes, rather than grind for stuff endlessly-including gold (and I won’t play the TP, because I hate economics.)

Which does beg the question, why not make most of the things available through gold only obtainable with Karma too? It seems some people have no problem gathering thousands of golds, while some of us, even if we do play a lot (I am sure I have put many more hours than a few people who are way richer than me), don’t have much gold. Either that, or make gold easier to acquire for the non-hardcore farmers (I.E. gold farmers should still benefit for their “work”, but non hardcore gold-farmers should be rewarded for enjoying/playing the game in other ways-just not as much as the hardcore farmers, because after all they are grinding their gold and deserve a reward for all their pain.)

right now arroun 250g. i puted ll my stuff to sell to get me enough gold in case i need to buy Charged Lodestones.

when i said all my stuff, is all the stuff i been collecting since thy release the game. ii hope this boost me arround 400-450g. enough for the 90 lodestones im missing

60+ gold, spent a good deal of it on crafting quiver, before I’m aware of fractal capacitor can be crafted to ascended type.

Now it’s around 10-12g.

18 gold is the max I’ve ever had, and I spent it on crafting my cloth exotic set. Combined throughout my entire play time I probably made about 30 gold.

I’m no farmer or dungeon runner :p A full set of cultural T3 armor would take me at least 3 more months, if ever.

37g before crafting a full set of exotic mf gears. over 600 hours, I when screw this and took my remain 7g invested in tp and fotm. In 5 days I manage to get back up to 47 without selling a single ecto I savage, core, lode stone, t5 and t6 mats I found in fotm.

In just gold… about 120g… +20g or so in tp investments if I just canceled all my orders… quite a bit more if I sold all my mats, ecto’s etc.

45 gold after I sold an unlimited bell I got at Winters Day.

I think the highest ive had was around 2k? currently only 1263g 13s

On the trading post you, one of the icons let you see items you’re selling and (with a drop down) items you’re buying. Next to each order is a “remove” button.

Removing a buy order refunds your money at the trading post.

I had 450g, plus another 100g tied up in investments. I already have a legendary (The Bifrost) and currently working on Sunrise.

That’s why I’m getting whisperblade instead. I really wanted bolt, but I don’t like how traders keep inflating the price faster than you can farm. ANet isn’t doing anything about it, so I don’t want to bother anymore.

30 Gold when my first hit 80 and then between that and karma, it became full exotics.

Now building up another or running my 80. I find I can make good gold per hour in Orr, I’d say 1.5 gold per hour with my 80. So I know I can go there if I have to have some needed gold.
