What are the most mobile classes from best to worst. I know Warrior/Mesmer/Thief/Ele are all very mobile, but I’m interested in the other classes. I find myself enjoying the mobile ones more to be honest.

Depends on where you wanna be mobile… I mean I find mesmer having most problems with Swiftness but they have alot of Stunbreaks and Blinks wich let’s mesmers being on the move pretty much.

Necroes have a few more speed choices but not many and they have very few stunbreaks.

I would say these two are the lowest in mobility.

In my opinion.

Thief with the right setup and depending what exactly you’re being mobile for. SB-5 instablink, 180 withdraw and RFI, Shadowstep, x4 dodge rolls with Sigil of Agility and 10sec swiftness get’s me to other side of the world.

Don’t discount melee ranger with GS leap, sword double leap, LR and SotH. Played right it’s extremely mobile.

Ranger with trapperrune, 4 traps, greatsword and sword. Fast and stealth helps, if you want to avoid fights.

Yeah but the use of the sword is annoying to play and not intended gameplay. Does not mean it can’t be used. I prefer GS, much more easier to use and 90% of all stuff I do it’s more than enough.

I use Guardian with traveller runes. With GS i can jump 600 range. Meditation shadow steps are handy to get 1st to Champion and get loot. This is my farmer pve toon.

My idea was easy play build and getting swiftess from skills wasnt for my passive play style.

Slowest in what way? They have a passive 25% speed signet and can “blink” to a target while in death shroud.

I won’t stop because I can’t stop.

Signet of Inspiration.

Sure, in is only every 10 seconds you get a boost for a few seconds, but it averages out pretty well. Especially since when covered in superior speed runes/sigils you can extend it for the full 10 seconds just by killing things (so it does not technically stack but you keep going).

Yesterday my warrior was passed by two characters running to KQ. They might have been thieves but if not I had to wonder how they did it. I will check my traits as I changed them up the other day, I thought I kept the one for speed though.

Someone have mentioned melee ranger. GS / Sword + dagger == tons of mobility and evades.

I can’t believe no one has said Engi here as being up there…

You have a way to get perma swiftness or a 25% perm speed boost. You also get rocket boots with a 20-ish second cooldown, that makes you very mobile! Elixir gun can give you swiftness while in combat VERY often while at the same time making your enemies crippled and if you need a quick escape you can leap backwards with skill 4.

Not sure if the OP was meaning straight up moving around or in combat situations but either way engi is up there….

In my exp Mesmers and Guardians can have it rough.

Since when did this business of being a hero become being a business?

Yeah, it often surprised me how easy it was to engage/disengage from any fight unless an enemy really was intent on chasing.

Nevermind if it’s intended or not, swoop + reverse hornet’s sting + forwards monarch’s leap can cover a huge amount of ground and all on very low cooldowns.

With the amount of evasion on those weapon sets (especially with offhand dagger) and also the chill nerf it’s easier to gtfo of any situation and run circles around many situations. Only disadvantage is having to be in melee range to deal damage (other than throwing GS 4 and dagger 5).

As far as passive movement speed & swiftness uptime necros can do quite well for themselves. However as far as “active movement” goes (leaps, blinks, shadowsteps etc) necro is pretty flat footed.

Death Shroud #2 requires an incredibly slow projectile to connect to blink (you can nearly keep pace with the projectile with swiftness alone). And that’s pretty much all necros have, Flesh Wurm requires setting up before hand and generally isn’t very effecient for it’s teleport/mobility aspect & spectral walk will only ever return you to where you cast the skill.

Mesmer slowest for me… Necro slow as well but I find the passive 25% spped boost + spec walk make it more mobile than my clunky Mesmers.
Sure they have a blink with a 30sec cooldown and a small speed boost every 10secs, which make it a little less “throw something at the monitor cos its sooo slow !” effect.

But what I am finding really annoying about my Mesmers is the fact that I have gotten used to being a little limited mobility wise on my Sylvari Mesmer as I don’t choose to waste upgrades slots with speed upgrades all over it, or use a focus, however when building my second Mesmer (Norn race) identically to my Syvari it seems to run soo much slower – yes it’s an identical build, but only because if it runs even slower without those minor upgrades to speed via signet/blink.

As for fastest… I have found it hard to best thief mobility on my other classes unless I try to make them as max mobile as possible at the expense of other requirements.
