Why doesn’t Tyria ever have open sky? I feel the clouds are a lazy way to make the sky look like a sky. Whatever happened to weather? I barely see the stars. It would be cool to see the sunsets.

Just a suggestion about a most pressing issue.

Because there is no weather system at all, so they cant cycle through weather types.

I believe this is my point entirely. Why cant we have weather systems?

Better question. Do we need one? Not really.

It causes lag, longer load times, and sight problems. The game doesn’t need to resemble the real world that closely…

It will just bloat the already massive sized client. No thanks.

Doesn’t moving clouds require more coding than having no clouds? o.O

If you want weather, go to Frostgorge Sound, where it is often snowing.

Reminds me I need to rant at the local electric company to turn off all power because I can’t see the stars due to light pollution.

I feel like they’ve been slowly remedying this by toning down the intensity of the clouds. Or maybe I’m just seeing things.

But I think the problem is not ‘too many clouds’ or ‘needs weather’ – I think it’s actually the skybox in GW2 is too small/low. Or at least the lowest cloud layer they use is way too low to the ground, it feels claustrophobic.

I’m more annoyed by the mountain range closed zones. Every map is framed in a mountain range.

It’s like old World of Warcraft, but instead of an open world they are zones with portals.
