Anet just put mounts in the game, I really don’t understand why people hate them so much, its like mounts will literally kill them. We don’t even need a 100% faster mount perhaps just 50%. We all know, yes you guys at Anet want us to experience the world well what if we have already or even want to but not walking every where its lame. In WvW maybe a mount with no speed increase, just the appearance of mounting up with people and riding to the next place or into battle is just… cool. Or maybe a table like the bobble head table that lets people drink something and allows them to ride mounts and the people that truly can’t stand mounts for reason I can’t understand other than way-points will never see them everyone wins.

Its because the mount supporters can’t win this debate with sound reasoning, so they resort to flooding the forums with threads.

Quantity < Quality

The maps are way too small for mounts atm. It would require ArenaNet to at least double the size of every map.

WvW needs a map increase, anyway.

I guess for the first time ever I’ll post in one and voice my opinion. I’m pretty indifferent, I like the wp system but I wouldn’t straight up hate mounts, as long as they made sense, which honestly in this game I don’t see happening. Like we would end up riding some cartoony quaggan machine or something.

Perhaps a good compromise might be what I’ve seen in other games, where you ride a mount only to get from a predetermined point A to point B. For example, we get a new far shiverpeaks map and in place of (some) waypoints, we ride a dolyak on a predetermined course, and then hop off or something.

But really, I wouldn’t be the least heartbroken if we never saw mounts.

Why not just have a piggy back feature so you can jump on your friend with the greatest speed boosts? I can see it now, a char mesmer on an asuran guardian, running free across the plains.

This game has enough asthetic things that drain my time and funds completely. I don’t need something else just to be able to get to events fast enough before some group that has the best mounts on day one gets there and clears everything.

We have a mount, it’s called a riding broom. Granted it won’t make you go any faster but you can sit around on it and make those fake motorcycle noises if it pleases you.

Seriously, find it in the gem shop and shut up already -.-

With mounts nobody wins. All you get is agro pulled onto you when you don’t want it.

We have enough run boosts in game and with all the portals around, Mounts are a waste of resources.

Every time a mount thread is created, another Quaggan goes into rage mode
