Multiboxing
Multiboxing is allowed as long as you are actively playing both accounts and not botting/automating/whatever on one
Multiboxing is fine as long as you are actively playing each account (not using bots or keyboard mirroring software to have one keystroke affect both characters). You cannot launch two instances of GW2 on the same PC without a third party software though and ANet does not offer support for such software, so use at your own risk.
Personally I have an old laptop set up for my second account.
Edit: And just so you can be completely reassured
Dual- or Multi-Boxing
1. You may use more than one account at the same time.
2. You may use more than one computer at the same time.
3. You must be actively playing on each account.
4. And as stated above, you may not program your keyboard to perform functions on more than one account at a time.
a. For example, if you press W on your keyboard to move forward, a single character on a single account should move forward. The keystroke or mouse click should not perform functions on more than one account.

how can you actively play two accounts on two computers, you’d have to switch keyboard and mouse every time you wanted to go from character A to character B, when you swap to character B then character A would be standing still :S
edit: i am assuming you would have to be playing on two separate computers

Well, off the top of my head, you could control one with a mouse in your right hand and control the second with something like a gaming keypad or left-handed mouse in your left hand.
right well that’d make sense then i’d have to buy another gaming mouse but that sounds like it’d be a real headache!!
thanks for the replies

With great difficulty.
I’ve got controls set up for one-handed operation and I basically keep my alt in front of my main when I run, but it’s like steering drunk while in the back seat. I’ve only had the second account since the 75% sale though, so I haven’t bothered trying any dungeon content with it, but for open world PvE stuff it’s serviceable.

It’s pretty good and really easy to use.
Here is a guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEomRz4aVL0&feature=iv&src_vid=Q6ASeCK9gaY&annotation_id=annotation_1279186503
As stated above though be sure to use it in a way that complies with Anets policies.
