I was watching MMOInks’ stream and he said that he feels like there is a multiloot nerf incoming.
I have to be honest. I was able to complete my legendary faster than I had hoped due to multiloot being so profitable. The thing is, mulitloot is probably the most boring thing I have done in the history of Gw2. Anet probably should encourage a more active gameplay.

That got me into thinking how the prices of Ectos would fluctuate if multiloot was nerfed. I know that Ectos are already 6-8 silver more expensive than 7 months ago, but wouldn’t nerfing multiloot make them even more expensive? Is that healthy?

I was never really into how economy worked in Gw2, but it’s sort of interesting how this price of ectos will influence so many thing as it is included in so many recipes.

GW2 economy is global so prices are effected by the demands of every NA/EU player. Ecto prices have dropped 15s since players started to post about AB before that ectos were steadily rising. AB has decreased the cost on ecto, t5 and t6 crafting mats. The AB megathread has posted the same information its just a lot to read through.

I hope that if they nerf it, they don’t punish the looting of those of us who stick to a single AB map.

Do people really find this to be good gold making, in term of time/gold? The whole event, from beginning to end, takes about 1-2 hours although some ppl just taxi straight into Octovine. The looting itself takes maybe 10-15min. I tested this a couple days ago, there were 5 maps and I looted only the grand and great chests. At the end of it all I got 26 rares and 1 exotic. 26 rares became 19ectos. The exotic I sold for 90s. Got a good amount of t6 gemstones. Some loot bags I’ve yet to open and greens and blues. So in all id say I got about 11-14g. Not bad if you taxied straight into Octovine but defiantly bad if u were on the map from beginning to end.

Well, you already answered your own question: If you just want to make good money over time, you shouldn’t be doing the whole meta. It’s not reasonable to consider that part of the meta in Gold per time calculation because you don’t actually need the meta to loots chests at the end of it.

I only do the multiloot once a day, and really not every day. Only when I have time to kill. It seems at least for me the best way is to do TD meta then once you get cache from behind wall map to AB jump in a multimap group. I usually get there around 12 min till the hour. At most I’m on the map 42 min start to finish.

Now I suppose if people loot the event multiple times a day they may run short on keys but since I only go once a day I never run out of keys. And my map currency is 6k more more than when I first started. Usually I’m only able to run 5-6 maps for grand chest. I would think people who do it often are far more efficient than me.

I’ve mentioned this before and still don’t see many doing it but a quick way to gain 12-20keys in just a few minutes is to do the 4 events that spawn at the same time. One at each gate. It’s the event which has nine waves. Kill one wave then wallow to other side kill one wave and wp to north or south kill one wave then wallow to other side. This takes at most 4 minutes. Super easy to get credit for all 4 events. You will get keys, bags and map currency for more keys. And if lucky even a few extra rares.

No more than I farm it, I’m sure there are those who have a great system down for efficiency. So they would have better advice.

I think it’s a great farm for those who don’t have a lot of time and even better for those who do. As far as nerfing it. No one can say for certain but lets be honest. Have we ever seen Anet leave a great farm alone?

You can also guarantee, it will be nerfed into oblivion, they don’t nerf things half hearted in this game, they will go all out, they always do, anyone who thinks other wise just has to look at some of the locations in game that where used for farming in the past, or certain events that where good in the past that now give NO XP or NO LOOT at all.

Remember when they changed SW’s and removed like 80% of the chests…….anyone been in Dry Top sandstorm recently, good luck finding more than 5 chests.

This is why I don’t do any or these sort of farms, as when the nerf hammer comes down people are shocked to see just how bad the rewards are, when otherwise you wouldn’t realise it as you are getting x5 at the moment.

I still dont get why you people want anet to nerf this nerf that, if you personally dont like something and here is a shocker DONT DO IT , instead of complaining to anet and wanting them to kill the fun of others.
