Multiple player dungeon, no farm events
How is adding in more loot destroying the game? Adding in lots of currency is bad, but adding in more good isn’t.
Also you do realize that they are doing this intentionally to help prepare us for the upcoming 500 crafts right?

My view on this is that 10+ player raids with “great rewards” are what 99% of MMORPGs offer for their endgame, and I am playing GW2 precisely because it does not use this model.
I’m not saying its the way for great rewards, but come on Zhaitan was gone in a blink. More like a baby dragon. It can give an other edge to gw2. Gw1 already had a lot of 8 player missions and also hard modes. I really miss that part of guild wars as for doing UW or FOW with 8 people. Not saying it should be 10 people or 20 but at least something more challenging with some more people and not having to see server sided lag at world events.
As for the extra loot. The champion bags were a nice addition and really making it fun to hunt them, but these events are just sick. You make around 3-10g every hour and that’s not taking in account the materials and skill points you get from it. Preparing? No farmwars returns

I agree! That’s way too repetitive. I for one love the emphasis on grinding out mobs and farming in GW2, it reminds me a lot of old pre-WoW mmo’s before WoW made things streamlined. Hour after hour of endless mob bashing every update, hehehe
Guess you’ve never done UW or FOW in gw1. Gives a whole new and greater aspect to bashing mobs! But like I said I’m talking about instanced zones, not a raid. There’s a slight difference. The example I gave is like a raid, but it shouldn’t be only that
Pulzar, I am actually with you on this. I don’t want it to be a gear treadmill, but I also despise the grindy just kill x mob y times until you are blue in the face direction this game is heading. If other people enjoy that type of playstyle that is of course their prerogative, but Anet should be developing content that is not solely reliant upon that formula in my opinion.
i believe what you mentioned might probably happen.
latest event is:
- WvW zerg training
- stomping downed enemies training
- strength in numbers training
later, expect to see castle sieges training in future living story events.
for example, we need to raid scarlet’s factory producing those watchwork golems etc.
10player+ instance with certain gw2 aspects and great rewards. For instance a instanced castle which you have to enter, starting by entering it with 10 or more players. Capture supply camps around the castle and siege it down while enemy waves are trying to stop you, when taken down a dragon appears and you have to fight it before entering the castle and inside the castle a nice variety of legendary bosses. Maybe at the spot of the old doomlore shrine? Make it challenging, and not like these farm event where people don’t care about killing scarlet but only about the loot from farming champions or other mobs( I love frostgorge since the mobs supply me with heavy bags of booty).
What are other players view on this?
