Music and the battle for Fort Trinity
There is an option in the audio settings that sets the delay on music, you can actually set it to nothing so you get new music to play as soon as the previous ends. As for the cinematic, sometimes music distracts too much and there were some sound effects in the trailer. I think it fit well in this case.
Even if the music plays right after the last one, it doesn’t solve the issue. Let’s say the game is playing “Malchor’s Leap” a dull song that is a good background for Orr. I’ve been playing in Orr for hours and it’s OK. The song is 2:12 minutes long and it just started playing (10 seconds in). I decide I’ve had enough of Orr and I use the way-point in Shaemoor Village. But Kryta doesn’t welcome me, the song is still playing because it has to play 2:02 more.
I go to the boss timer webpage and I see that the shadow behemoth is up I use the waypoint in the swamp to go there, I get to land 3 hits before it gets defeated (no epic boss fight, just the same dull song from Orr that now has still to play for 40 more seconds)
I grab the loot and head to the trading post in Shaemoor to sell some of the exploits. The song is finally over and there it comes “Logan’s Journey” a very bright song.
I decide I’ve done enough in queen’s dale and I head back to Orr because a guildy needs help with a jumping puzzle (I’m a mesmer). “Logan’s Journey” is in the background and it will stay there for the next 2 minutes while I’m in Orr.
It might sound like it’s not a big deal, but it really breaks immersion.
