2900 hours since launch, never had a single precursor drop. I think if I get your kind of “luck”, I might weep.

Personally, I don’t think there should be underwater legendaries.

I’m only about 900 hours, but I think my reaction would be the same. I did get “The Hunter” drop from the karka chest, but sold it since it wasn’t one I could use. Kicking myself now, a year later, for not holding on to it. At 480g, it’s going for more than 3x what I sold it for. :/

Out of all the underwater legendaries I think Frenzy is the worst of them all (Rage is precursor tto frenzy)

They could make them so much better by just giving an effect. Footprints etc above ground would work so long as you don’t have another legendary equipped.

But as they sit, underwater legendaries are the forgotten step children of the family.

I was able to get a precursor from the queen karka chest…the bard. That thing fell as low as 10g during that time I was facepalming myself asking why wasn’t it something slightly better >.< I did wait like half a year to sell it at around 55g tho

Yeah you’re lucky in your bad luck, it’s one of the best legendary of the game (personal opinion, it was pretty bad at release but now it’s glorious).
Also the precursor has a pretty good name, especially for this situation. You can link it every time you rage because of something in game.

Keep it in your bank, maybe one day they will release a huge underwater patch (sadly i’ll probably not be here when it cough never cough happens) and it might increase in price a bit.

I think it’s sad that it has come down to defining success by how much your precursor drop is worth….

People are always talking about how expensive precursors are… except for the fact that more than half of them are pretty much worthless…

you think thats bad… i bought carcharias the prec for legendary spear… then when im makin twilight i get that kitten spear as a drop as my first precursor. Isnt life great -.-

That sounds good. The spear would be worth more today than it was in the past.

I’m a dirty casual. 300g to me is like a life savings :P

Before I’m poked at for not making more money, I do maybe 1 or 2 dungeons a day and the daily. I know doing 15 dungeons a day and 20 JPs might net me lots of shinies, but then I would not be, by definition, a dirty casual.. Also not complaining about TP rates or making easy money. At the time, I just kept seeing threads about folks having really great luck and getting easy gold, so I just figured I’d test my luck…. which was indeed very bad. So… good to know

1million karma’s worth of rares in the forge got me dusk, and then 40gold in the forge got me the lover how’s that for luck? wasn’t going to make a legendary before but now it seems daft not to!

Congrats! At least you got one~ 4200 hours of GW 2 now and NEVER looted a precursor. THIS right here is bad luck. =/

Oh, how disappointing. I thought we would be doing cool and challenging stuff in order to craft our legendaries. Rather, we ended up with a mind numbing grind and having epic battles with RNG.

2285 hours on the clock here. Best item I say I would have received was just yesterday. Finally got a black lion claim ticket after 80+ lion keys used in my life. Highest priced drop I’ve got is the ugly stick which I sold for just over 8g.

I would be over the moon to get a drop worth 35g :-/

The one and only Precursor that ever dropped for me was the Hunter. Off some random mob in AC Story.

Moral of the story, kids. Don’t skip! Kill EVERYTHING!

I can understand being a little bummed. I’d personally like rage but then again I’ve never had one drop. Would have been nice to get one worth some gold I am sure.

I bet the cost of the items plays a part in drop rate.

I figured that if that was true that anything above 1g would never drop for me.
