I heard the only addition to sab this year is red skins.

Not bothering to log in just for another event they will leave stagnant, shame as Sab was always amusing, another event left to die in favor of raids.

I’m not gonna say my experience because I didn’t even get in. As far as I’m concerned Anet can trash the whole SAB especially if they don’t intend to ever finish it.
I will not waste my time not even 3 weeks a year on a mini game that is 50% complete.
I would not even be surprised if it end on the 20th to keep us all busy because episode 5 is 2 weeks late…

This reminds me of people who refuse to play the original Super Mario Bros. simply because it has “bad” graphics.

Can’t people just learn to enjoy things for what they are rather than how they compare to other things?

You’re missing the point entirely most of us me included have seen and played the 2 first world 3 and 4 are yet to come, and because of empty promises we get 1 and 2 over and over and over again and every year it comes out on April fools day and the joke is on you the player who takes the bait!!!

Have fun out there and don’t forget your fishing rod.

If you’re around this evening and want help getting through W1Z3 (or any of them, really) send me a message in-game and I’ll be happy to speedrun you through whichever zones you’re having trouble with.

What empty promises? ANet ‘promised’ that World 3 wasn’t coming any time soon, if ever.

Had this happen to me as well..
Stood under the Toad while in the Upside Down, when he belly flopped I thankfully died, then went right back in and killed the evil King Toad Map Hacker!

Frustrating for me? Sure, for a few moments.. Ruined? Not by a long shot. They should drop some tokens or baubles down there for an Easter Egg.

“empty promises”?

I don’t ever remember SAB being promised at all, especially in the game manifesto at launch or before launch. In fact the whole thing was a total surprise (a nice one indeed) when it was released and if I recall was the work of one individual in his spare time while his main game projects were finished.

If you mean because there are 2 extra doorways that COULD eventually at some time be added on to. If this is what you are taking as “empty promises” I guess you and I have two very different views as to what “empty promises” are.

Really I just don’t get some people. SAB was given to us FREE as a fun BONUS yearly event and people still are not happy. Sure you may have played it up to your eyeballs and may want MORE MORE MORE right now. But lets be realistic here. Sometimes things just never come or they take time.

I mean sure when a new oh I don’t know say Final Fantasy game comes out and I beat it right away sure I may want the next one right now but I just know that’s not gonna happen lol…

Don’t even make me mention the FF7 remake, just knowing that it is going to be broken up into parts…..now that example right there, I COULD be justified in moaning but, no, just no and this is off topic anyway lol.

Since when did this business of being a hero become being a business?

Its strange that there are buildings marked world 3 and 4 when neither are planned to be released any time soon and they’ve been there for how long? In particular to new players. I wasn’t playing GW2 until the middle of last year so this is my first SAB and I was all excited to hop into world 3 after finishing w2 but both buildings are just aesthetic. It wouldn’t take more than just a moment to remove these two buildings and save them for later when the dev releases those worlds.

And it takes even less time to not remove them and just keep them there until such time as they maybe might have time to make Worlds 3 and 4.

SAB is what it is… An amusing little diversion that has become an annual thing.
You can either enjoy it for that, or be completely miserable in what it isn’t.

Yes I do agree it can be confusing for newer players having these buildings sitting there like that. Heck even when SAB first came out (before world 2 was even released) when I saw the other 3 buildings I had expected to be able to do those as well, but alas was not the case.

So having said that and knowing what we know now, I think they really SHOULD look at removing the last 2 buildings. Especially considering they have made statements that there is a very good chance we will never see worlds 3/4.

Leaving them in might seem like a cruel joke/tease for some players. In the least confusion for newer players.

So ty for pointing this out.
