My account was NOT Hacked, Thanks Anet for Protecting it

If they are logging in then there is either a keylogger on your system, or they have access to your email.
You have to use a really long password for GW2 as there is no brute force protection. This game has crazy security issues from hacks to cheats to bots.

Really? And tell me how do you know this is a fact? Have you tried to hack their system? Were you instrumental in writing the code for their security? Maybe you work for Anet had have inside knowlege.
Seriously you are throwing around acusations that you actually have no knowlege of. just pure speculation. It’s already a fact that most MMO accounts are NOT hacked thru the gamming company. They are hacked thru 3rd party systems. Also lest be realistic here. NO system is hack proof. Even the CIA, FBI, DoD get hacked from time to time. It does happen.
The best we can do is change our passwords often and use numerous email accounts, one per game. Also keep your malware/adware and antivirus up to date. Keep them keyloggers and whatnot off your computer. If you find something change all you passwords for everything. Not just games. Change them for emails, banking sites, forums sites, blogging sites, twitter, facebook etc… and any othere sights you regulary go to.
My email was hammered with attempts from different cities in China twice. I wish they would give me the choice to say “just ignore anything coming from outside my country”. I don’t plan on going to China anytime soon, and if I was I doubt I would play GW2 while there.

Anet telling us to use really long passwords so they can’t be brute forced. They even had pictures.
Bots are a major problem, you probably already know this and there is a sticky if you didn’t.

They should just automaticly block all login attempts from a country other than the one you made the account on (for everyone) and the only way to login in another country would be to contact support and provide proof you own the account. Since most if not all the gold farmers (and people who are attempting to hijack accounts) seem to be in china, the only people who would still have issues with this would be those who live in china.
