Guild Wars 2

I am in my 5th year of GW2 and actively playing GW1. Both of my accounts pre purchased the deluxe package for Heart of Thorns.

The story telling and, (for the most part,) quality have been outstanding for as long as I’ve been here.

So why would I be debating buying expac 2? Mesmer has captured my imagination and I play it more often than anything else. After a long drought I anticipated being a strong factor again in PvP.

The long series of nerfs to Mesmer and Chronomancer. In particular the transfer of Alacrity to Revenant gives me pause. It’s been very negative for me emotionally to see my class take hit after hit. Moa, (our signature move ) given to Engineers was another dark moment.

If I start on the new Mesmer specialization, I’ll have to deal with the whole cycle again.

I really want to be excited about this. Vabbi is a beautiful and exotic land. I just don’t know.
