My delicate brain suffers in GW 2 :(
I feel exactly the same a lot- I grind one thing for ages and then do something else because I am so bored with it I can’t even motivate myself to do any more, but after I have done some thing else for a while, I go back to the content I was bored with and really enjoy it. I guess I just burn out on some things and then when I go back they become new and exciting again (most recent example I can think of for myself is edge of the mists).
I am sure a lot of others feel the same too, and it is also why people take short breaks from the game so they enjoy it more when they come back I guess.

This is exactly what the open world pve is for.
its really refreshing when you’re almost burned out looking for item X and then you find yourself in a really isolated corner of the world map on a mini vacation of sorts.

I used to think (build op, pls nerf) like you, but then I took a nerf to the knee.
Okay, so let’s say last year, Silverwastes debuted, I spent 67 whole months there night and day, I knew nothing else. Then after too much sand, too much sunburn, I got burnt, I moved on to something else.
You spent more months in silver waste than GW2 exist. Time traveler.

LOL… 7 months, lol… I meant 7…
You’re not alone. That’s how I am with open world stuff too.
Going to chime in as someone with both long and short-term memory loss issues. I absolutely love Silverwastes and Guild Wars 2 event chains in general. I tend to regularly forget what I did or what I’m doing, even in the middle of doing it, and too many variables make it harder for me to pick up where I left off.
Repetition calms me. So I do the same activities over and over to relax and it’s great. Don’t think I ever really tire of them, precisely because they feel new yet comfortably familiar at the same time. It’s not stupid. Unconventional but not stupid.
maybe try something else than pure repetitive farm in SW?
PvP !!

doing all Jumping Puzzles and finding your own JPs by glitching out of maps for fun
