So I have maxed out the 5 levels of Pack Commander and applied the 19 Mastery Points.

I have enough XP for the Legendary Crafting: Revered Antiquarian, Magister of Legends & Historian of the Armaments but I have not applied the 6 Mastery Points to HotA yet(since I only have 5 MPs left) so my XP started rolling over to the Fractal Attunement: Follows Advice.

Which is fine. Though I have no interest in Fractals so I don’t want to apply any MPs to Follows Advise but would rather my XPs rolled over here than no where.

So here is the problem: Now that there is no place for the XP to roll over to, they seem to be just vanishing. I have been playing for a day or so now and I can not find any roll over for my current and future points. They don’t seem to roll into my next level of either Fractals or Legendary.

Is this a bug or as intended? If as intended then any XP I earn from two days ago till I get my next Master Point just disappears into the Mists I guess.

Intended. You can’t “bank” xp because if you could there would be no progression when new masteries are released in the future. In addition, you can’t apply mastry xp to locked masteries because the entire design of the system is meant to make you want to do tasks to gain the points as a priority, which in turn drives you to diverse content sooner, to avoid wasting xp.

The whole purpose of mastry points is to prevent mastries from being just an XP grind, but rather to give you personalized choke points where you go ‘hey, I should do this other different thing so I don’t waste xp’ so progression doesn’t just boil down to repeating the same xp farm forever and only then going out and getting all your mastry points.
