I’m not making this kitten up! I got the minstrel out of green bag of gear I got form SW after doing lots of event farming there and then doing chest trains afterward.

Now I plan to sell it even though I main an ele, as I rather have two incinerators.

Well it’s not quite the Minstrel, but… Congrats! I got a fairly pricey exotic from one of those green bags some time ago.

My first precursor was rather unexpected as well, getting Dawn from 3 rare armors and a weapon in the forge.

Gratz. You know if you have one Incinerator you can just reskin a dagger for a 2nd? Unless you are going for the achievement of course.

It looks fake. I think ANet is playing a trick on you. Email it to me and I’ll check it out for you. If I decide it’s fake I’ll keep it, but send you 2 gold for your trouble.

There was a forum thread during the first beta claiming that the precursor drop rate was increased for the beta. (A lot of beta chars threw all their free account bound exotics in the forge and some got a precursor. Not sellable or able to keep of course). I don’t think I posted on it but I read it and rolled my eyes at the thought that they increased it for that reason. That day I threw 4 random rares in the forge on a non beta char and got my first and only precursor, The Colossus.

Yes I got my first precursor out of a green bag from SW also. It was the Energizer (mace). Later I got Spark off of a regular mordrem…. in Verdant Brink….during Beta…. >:|

I got my Storm from Twilight Arbor after I already had my Meteorlogicus. At that time, I decided to make the second one, sold it, and afforded my permanent hair kit.

There are quite a few things you can buy with gold that would be worth the trouble and fortune of a legendary weapon. Want that hair kit? Preserved Queen Bee? Black Poly-gem? Aetherized skins? etc.

Well dang. But I might take Iris’ suggestion and cash in to buy some nifty-expensive things. Or, maybe, actually keep it for my Tempest.

that’s what I did with my Hunter, because I wanted that one and not the Predator. It felt like having the cake and eating it too!

that’s what I did with my Hunter, because I wanted that one and not the Predator. It felt like having the cake and eating it too!

i kept my hunter.. got it since my first month of playing. Was on my way to arah on my story..still disgruntled cause i lost tybalt, out for revenge basically…and some random kittenbag risen who couldnt take the hint that im not interrested in his anchor or his sick moves dropped it…like right out of nowhere. Didnt even know what a precursor was..but yeap…kept it, used it and went to hell and back with it.

On the other hand… i got the tooth of frostfang from a charr effigy…yea.. a frozen axe from a giant burning wicker man. Love the logic of gw2. I sold that one and it funded my hammer pre..and now i got the juggernaut. Good times..
