My idea for a new Loot System
I’m afraid it’s not a good idea – this kind of system would only encourage mindless farming of mobs as weak as possible at maximum pace.
That kind of system would in fact make even more people get 21 or more precursors from all the grinding and trains and stuff they already have and will probably come up with if that is implemented. While the more casual players will still be stuck with nothing (or at least less than those). This kind of system favors those who have more time to do mindless grinding in that it gives them an unfair advantage. Personally, I’d rather see someone with 21 precursors and myself with none and know that that was just due to RNG rather than him grinding his kitten off because he can.
Note that I’m only using precursors as a reference point since that is the end of your loot chain.
