My mouse is dying and is AN fault
Or a “consume all” for the karma bottles you get by killing things in Ember Bay.

Gonna +1 this thread like I have the other lot.
I remapped left mouse click to 3 different buttons on my Razer Naga Molten Special Edition, just purchased a Razer Naga Epic Chroma mouse so lets hope Anet can implement Open All before another mouse is gone.
….. And Elementalist.
Oddly, it’s my right mouse button that seems to be failing. Not sure why. It seems to work fine outside of GW2.

Wait until the ToT bags come… O_O
“I broke my mouse and it’s your fault”
Blame aside, I do support the heavily requested idea of an “Open All” feature.
I use mouse keys for repetitive actions like that. I type something in the inventory filter (e.g. ‘bag’) and press the [+] key until there are no more bags or the inventory is full; rinse and repeat.
This also worked well for salvaging — type “masterwork,” open a kit, and press until there’s nothing left to salvage. Obviously the salvage-all is orders of magnitude better as would be an “open-all” feature. But in the meantime, there are workarounds that are very good.
Few days ago i was opening a lot o bags and box, now my mouse’s left button is failing, now i will need to BUY a new one. I only wanna know when AN will implement the option: “open all bags/boxes”.
Why do you feel you have to accumulate so many before opening them? When you open a bag or chest, you don’t gain any extra chance of getting something bigger by opening many at once.
Sorry, but it’s not ArenaNet’s fault. You chose to play the game in the way you have. If you don’t have a problem repeatedly pressing a key/mouse button when jumping on a champ or chest train, you shouldn’t have a problem repeatedly opening loot boxes and bags either.

^^^^ Thissssss. Shift + Alt + Num Lock turns on Mouse Keys. Especially great if you’re the type to wait until later to open all your boxes at once. It gives your number pad some control over your mouse cursor. + is a double click, 5 is a single click.
And a bulk option for the mystic forge while we are at it please
My mouse is barely working too.. I tried restarting it and everything. I guess I do have to get a new mouse.

With the risk of getting infracted (again) for the mere mentioning of macros, Autohotkey and a simple script where a keyboard button == mouseclick. Saves the mouse and wont cramp your finger.
I use an autoclicker.
Move mouse over bags, press the button, release it, done.
+ on this.
there is no reason why we are forced to open stuff with an autoclicker or buying a new mouse more often.

Will opening them as they come by make the number of clicks smaller?
Remember, remember, 15th of November
throw the bags, it’s one drag and drop and one click. Easy, mouse friendly.
Certain manufacturers use cheap switches, which can get dirty and wear out more easily. Personally, I’ve never had a problem with using the same mouse for years, until I got a Razer, which I’ve had to repair several times now. If the button occasionally doesn’t work when you press it, or twitches (or releases) when you hold it down, you need to take it apart, remove the plastic casing on the switch and clean the metal contacts. Alternatively, you can buy new switches to replace them, which are like a dollar for a few, but you’ll have to solder.
sitting on around 2,000 tomes of knowledge. Any day now i feel a consume all button coming otherwise in my bank they will sit.
I had to replace my mouse 3 times because of this game.. Right click issue most of the time. action screen maybe a slight help to this
I’m using a R.A.T. 7 gaming mouse with a second scroll. I set that scroll to left click if it rolls to one side and right click if it rolls to the other side.
That way I can click really fast without breaking my mouse button or breaking the macro rule. The macro rule is that you can use macros as long as one keystroke = one action ingame. With this method, one scroll tick = one action in game so it does not violate that rule.
But ever since we can mass salvage and “comsume all” I rarely need it.

So much this!! Also I wonder why my right mouse button isn’t working so great :O
I addition my left Crtl button on my keyboard sticks now, although they have implemented a fix a while back for that. On my warrior I was trying to remove conditions one day and someone in map chat said “Relax Taylor Swift!!!”….

Actually it is the reverse of your thinking.
There is no incentive for ANET (or other companies) to make things less click happy once the base “click” function is coded.
Quality of life can always be over ruled by the bean counting additional cost of development/testing.
As ANET is a U.S. company, until there becomes a set of standards that is federal law regarding repetitive motion and video/phone games, there is next to no monetary incentive for a game company to have bulk opening. All that exists is “good will” and that seldom helps companies make more monies.
Opinion: It seems that most programmers look at the bulk opening issue in the standard of bag space and over flowing inventory. There is a simpler solution. Once a character’s bag has less than or equal to X amounts of slots free, stop opening them. This allows the player to deal with a “full bag” and still be able to deconstruct items, etc. without the notification of “your bag is full.”
Another issue, depending upon design of the game, could be the data traffic interaction in such a rampt fashion that could possibly cause server issues. Several players are obviously using macros and auto clickers currently, but that does not mean the majority do, and it would take a majority to see/cause server issues.
edit: I have replaced my mouse to to button’s dying due to gaming 3 times in the last 20 years. (working towards my 4th currently as this one is starting to show signs) But I’ve been through probably 6 keyboards as a comparison. None due to “liquid” death and only one due to gamer rage (I will never buy a Saitech again. Seriously, the space bar, not the button portion, the plastic bar broke!)
It may be that some players need to invest in a mouse that is designed for gaming vs. a cheep off the shelf one.

Don’t forget the mystic forge. I was doing a lot of clicking to upgrade things omg it drove me nuts. Why can’t we put in hundreds of items and click all there too!
For basic thing I have a click macro to open tons of things.
Get a magic trackpad from apple and just tap with your finger to open things. It helps a lot. It is the best computer accessory ever. http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MJ2R2LL/A/magic-trackpad-2

I’ve have a key combination that turns my mouse scroll into a single click so I just scroll away. Makes for an easy time. I can also click left mouse button while doing it and speed up the process. One key one action. I’ve used the same G500 for a near 8k hours of play (plus other games; daily use) and it’s still going strong.

Well you could use a macro, set it to double click at 10 clicks per second max!
Thanks to Anet’s completely and utterly useless guide on macro use, and their “you decide if it’s allowed” approach to them, it’s hard to know what macros you can use and what you cannot.
“You can use a macro as long as it does one thing” That is their definition of a macro.
But that is a definition of a normal keybind!
A macro is set of instructions, not one single instruction.
So with Anet’s lack of telling us what “macro” you can use and what you cant, you can be banned at any time for using any real macro!
Hence why I say set a double click macro to 10 per second as a lot of gamers should be able to do 10 clicks per second, so such a macro doesnt give you any advantage.
But doesnt mean some mod wont turn around and say it’s a bannable offense to use it.
I used to be a PvE player like you, then I played Guild Wars 2
I use an autoclicker.
Move mouse over bags, press the button, release it, done.
We can do that? Cuz if so I would love to macro a double click button, hold down a button for double click spam…
Does anyone know if we can do that? I’d do the numpad option but my keyboard is blackwidow tournament edition, has no numpad.
