Anet really need to look into their new armor design in the game.
since the ascended armor release , Anet just like lost their act sense of this game.

maybe the armors look nice in the concept drawing , but they are totally ugly in the game.

I would have to say it’s just a matter of opinion. I for one love my zodiac armor, and the new medium set isn’t half bad.

i thought you would wish for something to filter out the “ugly” skins out of your wardrobe when i first saw the title..^^

then i thought abour dyes and how anet could .. probably add a favourites skin tab to find the ones you like or want to use later more comfortable..

ascended armors… i do like most of them to a certain degree

they dont look that well if u wear all the parts since it looks like head and legs are made by one person and shulders + boots from another

but the parts on their own do often (i just dont like some of them) look kinda nice
and you could surely mix them into some armours

you can transmutate your armor now easier than ever be4 and get the transmutation charges easier
so if u cant stand a single piece…change it

the sunglasses however..meh but i dont need to get them.. so i just let them be…

We both like the new medium. Based on the sheer number of people I’ve seen running around in the medium and the heavy, I’m thinking it’s pretty popular right now.

I don’t care for the zodiac, but I see lots of people in it too. More than I’d expected honestly.

Although, admittedly, some of my like / don’t like views may change come the end of the week. Right now my 5 yr old system runs everything on low, but all my new shiny computer parts come in tomorrow, so I’ll be upgrading so I can run things on high and really check things out. I’m like a kid in a candy store right now…

Interesting means of tying zodiac into your game play. I’m not much into RP myself (requires too much thought on my part haha).

I’ll be getting all the gem store skins now that we have the wardrobe, just have to do them a few at a time. My problem is determining which ones to start with….

Game needs more armors like the pirate outfit. Less of the “I’m wearing several blankets WITH SPIKEZ 4 TEH KEWLZ”.

I’m going by the screenshots, fine sir. Clearly she/he favors female characters.

The topic of armors and how they look will always be a matter of opinion. I for one like the new sets, but I hated some of the previous ones… which some actually seemed to like… so yeah… there is no way everyone will ever agree on this matter.

Its not like you have to get them anyway… just wait and see if something comes about that suits your tastes, maybe try some more mix and matching, way easier to preview all options before actually spending now too. Sometimes what you perceive as an ugly set have just the piece that makes your mix perfect.

Clearly they will never add a single piece of armor to medium that will suit my taste since the devs just abhorrent and despise GW1 Assassin design for males and refuse to add anything that doesn’t have a skirt on it.

I didn’t realize the OP had stated everyone dislikes the new armor so aren’t they already speaking for their self? I find the new armors kinda odd, different but meh. Not my taste but at least they’re putting out new armor. I’d imagine more and more styles will come out and hopefully more trench coats..

My Thief has no skirt. Just a top that stops at mid-line and some pants. You might want to browse through the Wardrobe and see what’s on offer. =)

As an RL female I do make female characters. I do however have a single male human caster. No screens on my phone but I can assure you he is sexy.

You’re probably talking about Human racial. Don’t have such luxuries on Sylvari.

No idea where one would obtain it, I will have to note the name next time, and wiki it.

There isn’t otherwise I’d be using it. I’ve seen every single chest piece in the game trying to find something GW1Assassin-ish and it doesn’t exist. Human racial is the only thing for males that gives a semi normal shirt.

considering the llama finisher, whatever content they’re planning for that armor set has to be a joke of some sort. .-.

Ahh..well, there’s your problem. You assume my Thief is male. Sorry about that.

In my opinion, a lot of Gem Store armors just like 90% of in game armors do not work well as a whole. It’s more of a piece here and piece there. But I still prefer the whole sets of armors for 800 Gems than 1 piece for 500, even if the set only has one piece that I find interesting at the given time. It gives options to my other toons in the future with the wardrobe system in place.

most of the players mixing the armors thats why they look ok

Yeah… you missed the part where I said ‘design for males’ o.o

The problem is that most of the armor sets appear as if 2 different people are working on 50% of the set each. They never look complete and uniform. Still though they offer an interesting look paired with other armor. The solution would be to allow the purchase of individual pieces from the Gem store so we could but just the pieces we want. I can tell you I would own many more gem store items if I could do that. There is no point in me spending 800 gems for 2 pieces of armor so instead of spending say, 150 gems for one piece I want I spend 0 instead.. lol.

I just wish they could make a set of Light, Medium and Heavy armour, where none of the armour clips with various bodyparts on charr (mostly tail)…. That would make my day!

And a mediun set wich is NOT a COAT would also be nice….. Coats doesn’t look good on charr (wich happen to be the only race I play)!!!
