Something weird happened to me the other day too. I was running around Fireheart Rise, and my Mini Jack A Lop took burning damage and died. It was horrible, he screamed just like bunnies do when they are killed

PS: I know it’s a difficult time but given the number of the deceased that are returning to our world at the moment, may I suggest a cremation.

This happened a few times for me as well, my poor fern hound has died about 3x .

Maybe he saw a woman stretching or putting her hands on her hips?

It’s not always about healthy and appropriate. Sometimes it’s about safety.

Fall damage does this. It can also happen to bird type pets. :l

Last time that happened to me (in CoF) I was able to revive my pet and get daily reviver for it.

I was doing one of the Wayfarer Vistas for the daily a few minutes ago, and slipped off the first time. On the way back to reattempt it I heard my pig squealing (My Ranger even said “My pet needs help!”), and his dot on the minimap wasn’t moving.

Noticed he was dead when I got back over.

Kind of surprising and amusing at the same time. Never had that happen before.

Ha, these are pretty darn (kitten?) good. I have a 46 ranger and this happened once to me, pretty odd. Hope they fix it or maybe not, you know, for the lulz.

Strange. I didn’t know pets were able to die. I remember back in beta they would die and have the dead ally sign on the map. That was removed as people were complaining about dead players and dead pets both showing on the map and making it hard to figure out that a person needed rezzing. Also pets were getting revived instead of a player when they were next to each other. Iirc there also was a problem with people not switching out dead pets and running around dragging the dead pets behind them. So death was removed and defeated put in. I guess I there is sufficient damage they can go past defeated to dead.

This is interesting since ranger pets have never been able to die. Back when GW2 was released they could be downed, but it just meant they walked around super slowly.

Actually, they did, it was rather interesting too as Astral pointed out that they showed as dead allies on the map and you have to go res them. Looks like this poor cat is unres-able? Like i said it happened once to me, but i just moved out of zone. My pet wasn’t res-able either (unless i did a swap).

Aye, I couldn’t res, I did try because I remember at release we could, but alas he was to far gone, already drinking milk in the afterlife.
