My problem with DE system
Searching for DEs is the wrong way to go about it, I think (I only do this when I want to complete daily achievements).
If you’re doing hearts, exploring, gathering, heading to personal story sites – in other words, if you’re out in the world with something to do already – dynamic events are a cool thing that happens along the way. Without that you lose the dynamic part.
Also, in response to your second post – if you’re not enjoying it, go ahead. I’d recommend sticking with it a while, but of course I would, I’m a fan. You can always leave and come back in two or three months if you feel like it.
If you like the ‘normal’ way of questing better, go ahead and go back. The point of DE’s is to ‘run across’ them and not to chase them.
I wander around the maps alot and can hardly get from poit A to point B without running across any dynamic events.
This is for sure not a big fail. GW2 does it different from other games, that’s it.
90% of DEs start at (or end at) hearts at low levels. Concentrate on clearing maps 100% and you should have no problem leveling up quickly.
While I play, I just do the hearts, and any DE’s I come across. I don’t typically just look for DE’s to do. Along with that, if I do happen to be looking for DE’s (Especially in the later zones) people seem to be very vocal about them spawning. I’ve met some pretty cool people zerging DE’s.
But, the root of your post seems to suggest that you’re just unhappy over all. I certainly wouldn’t do something that made me unhappy, so I could only suggest that you play the game that you enjoy.
Do what makes you happy. Enjoy life, man.
pls. can anyone tell me why i should quit and go back and play wow or warhammer again?
Uh, what? Just quit already if you will, no one is holding you back here. This isn’t a subscription game.
pls. can anyone tell me why i should quit and go back and play wow or warhammer again?
Nope. You should quit and go back and play WoW or Warhammer. Stick to familiar surroundings because you don’t seem to operate too well outside of them.
I’m not being snarky here: if you want a “finished” game with everything laid out and perfect… well I can’t think of one.
I’m not happy with the game at present. But since I don’t have to keep paying each month… I’ll wait.
Lornar’s Pass for example – i remember flying through this zone doing DE chains for 10 levels straight.
You’re doing it all wrong….just pick a direction, any direction, and run and explore and kill stuff and you won’t even have to find the DE’s, they’ll just be there as points on your own personal journey.

DE’s are pretty good, I like them, and some are a bit amusing especially if there is an Asuran NPC involved in the plot. That one where they made a stinky ettin suit out of ettin refuse was cute. It’s not the typical boring old “read five paragraphs of text to get the plot of the quest” type games. I think that’s why people practically zoomed to level 80 so fast, not enough reading to slow them down.
Don’t get me wrong I loved Guild Wars 1 and the quests it had, but some MMOs out there are slap ate up with quests, so many that you just don’t really care to read it all after a while. You just want to get your XP and be gone. That is what Guild Wars 2 gives us, a fun way to earn experience.
you can start many DEs yourself, if you care to talk to the NPCs in hamlets and stuff like that. A “questgiver” if you will. Just saying…
