So I get spammed with these from chests to remind me that I have missed Winter’s Day 2014 and have to sit on my Empyreal Fragments until at least next Winter’s Day?

I mean it’s stupid enough that there is no alternative way to get the Star of Gratitude.
But to be constantly reminded that one should have planned vacation with respect to the GW2 calendar is a bit much.

And please refrain from using the “entitlement talk”. I am willing to work for it (currently in the process of getting Madrey II) and I wouldn’t mind so much, if it just wasn’t a (one of many) vanity item like for example the HoM skins. Wait! …

I don’t know that I agree with everything here, but I would also like to see them go away, and I got the Star. It would be really sweet if these things could be tied to a variable, rather than a permanent addition to every JP chest for the rest of time.

I am curious. If you do not open one until the next wintersday will they “work” or still be shattered ornaments?

I’ve started hanging on to them in that exact hope.
Is the package itself the same as when they weren’t broken?
Like same name just different contents?

if you treat them better, the ornaments won’t shatter.

Maybe… but it’s really no point hoarding package.

Collection items droprate is pretty much 100% when you get collection up.

(Just have to get a package from different region chest.)

Just open it for extra silvers .

My point in hoarding is I rarely do JP. Like 3 of them since I started playing last year only because a mesmer shouted that they were opening a portal.

Got a character you don’t play much?
Get them ported to the end of a JP (or run it I guess) and leave them there, log in once a day and bam, JP chest
