There are seriously not enough ways to get mystic coins and the amount required for specific items continues to go up each expansion.

you need about 230 or there abouts to get the mystic clovers
New HoT legendaries require 250 as part of the new mystic tribute

You are limited to about 20 per month from daily log in chest and maybe a few more from mystic forge daily as well…. It would take a stupid amount of time to collect and thus everyone is driven to buying them from the trading post of which the price continues to go up every day….

There must be a new way of achieving the coins or watch their price continue to skyrocket each month as demand increases.

As far as legendaries go I think this is one of many parts that comes down to planning.

A legendary is going to take a lot of time to make however you go about it (unless you have enough spare cash in real-life to convert to gold to buy one). So rather than waiting until you need the Mystic Clovers for the next step and then trying to get all the components ASAP start saving them from the beginning.

I’ve made 1 legendary and started working on a second and both times one of my first steps was to make myself a ‘shopping list’ of all the things I’d need, even if I wasn’t going to need it until the very last step in the process.

That stopped me selling off things I needed and also allowed me to coordinate steps – e.g. making Mystic Clovers before gathering T6 mats so any T6 I got from the Clover recipe contributed to my total, or running the dungeon I needed tokens from to get gold. I’m not saying it will guarantee you never have to buy anything, but it helps a lot.

(I’ll look into the data sometime this week, but the recent spike looks more like someone is trying to corner the market :P)
