Hello,
I am curious as to if a person with 4 legendary weapons (if one does exist) decides to one day say, screw it and decide to quit the game and out of curiosity wants to throw his hard bought weapons into the mystic forge…what would happen exactly?
Here is a list of scenarios I believe could occur.

1. Lets say you throw a Twilight, Frost Fang, Sunrise and a Predator Into the forge…and the end results ends up being the Minstrel (focus)..resulting a series of crying episodes and fetal positions.

2. You throw your 4 legendary weapons into the forge to end up getting a level 80 exotic (non precursor) weapon called Final Rest…

3. Would Arena Net recognize the Legendary Weapon owners devotion to the game by ransacking his/her hard earned weapons thus resulting in granting him/her access to a virtual nuclear bomb safe room which served as a permanent wipe for the world of Tyria incase of Karka or Risen invasion and required 2 Black Lion Keys to activate?

4. By throwing in 4 legendary weapons into the forge you open up a inner dimensional portal in time and the portal ends up spewing out a Icy Dragon Blade, a Fiery Dragon Blade and a couple Fell Blades from the Guild Wars prior.

If you have anything creative to implement to what would happen if 4 legendary items were thrown into the mystic forge..please feel free to share your experiences or myths about the matter.

The only legendaries you can put in are Sunrise and Twilight – combining both gives you Eternity.

I’ve done it. I got a copper ore. I sold it on the TP for 3 copper. I was pleased with the end result.

The formula is too complex and the game shutsdown. Forever…

EDIT: Quote from an unidentified Dev from Anet “We are aware of this issue and currently have 3 asura working on a solution. A fix is expected to be released in the next generation of Guild Wars.”

Actually, scenario number 1 kind of makes sense When you put 4 items of some rarity, you get back another item of the same quality or better and because Lengedary is the best quality, you will get the same one. So if you put inside 4 legendaries and you get back some cheap offhand like Minstrel, well… /facepalm

Then the devs missed a great opportunity.

Bunch of players standing around a smoking pit in Lion’s Arch:

“What happened?”
“The Mystic Forge blew up.”
“WT-??? Blew up? How?”
“Someone threw four Legendaries into the forge. It shot out green flames, then blew up. Zommoros appeared and yelled ‘Finally! I’m free! You there! L2P Noob, you don’t play RNG with Legendary Weapons!’ And he disappeared, leaving behind this smoking crater.”

“Yeah, but now what do we do? Mystic Forgesmith is one of the dailies!”

The forge erupts letting a mystical dragon spawn that begins destroying Lions Arch, the denizens of Lions Arch begin to dig locating Molten Alliance tunnels we.previously exploded. A completely new technology begins as we begin reverse enginnering the flame and frost technologies, which happen to be ascended quality, and similar to lotro legendaries that get stronger with use. With these weapons, the Lions Arch then make a stand against the mystical dragon that one shots everything in an area 3000 meters every 10 minutes, its immune to ranged, condition and melee damage, only damage is by reflectively damage, its hitpoints are well into the trillions and even with 1,000 players on ot reflecting a tick of 1 damage since thats all the damage it does except the one shot which cant be reflected. So finally after all the class rebalancing because of all the forum complaints that it is not killable, they will update it during not peak hours for a level 1 character to walk up and reflect 5 damage back, killing it, ending with a reward which will be an RNG lootbox that will be bugged and only give a level 1 skin of the starter weapon that character started with to begin. While the whole time this would be going down, they would be selling Black Lion Keys saying that it has an inceased chance of a precursor with every open, which increased means instead of .0001, it will be a .0002 chance, then they will announce that their next Living Story/Festival begins. And that all the Molten Alliance reverse engineered weapons had a timer only for the Mystic event.

It says game over and then you get to play through story mode all over again and this time Trehearne isn’t wearing his clothes and we find out he’s really a girl

Putting 4 legendarys in the MF causes Zommoros to appear and finally reveal himself as John Smith, granting you the full power to know all the secrets of the forge and the BLTC. Thus alowing you to become the new owner of the BLTC replacing BL with your name.

Putting in 4 legendary gets you an RNG box that may conatin:

Porus bones,
Broken claws,
and (rarely) ruined ore.

Behold the mystic horseshoe – a transcended trinket. No one knows what it’s good for but it’s supposed to do something. Many forum posts shall be created in the years to come to discuss it’s purpose.
If that idea is miraculously trademarked we’ll make a ring out of it. “Just one ring.”

I very much like Geotherma’s idea, but I’m not too fond of the name changing every two weeks (or so). Although there might be a hidden entertainment value there as well …

4 legendaries in the mystic forge is like dividing by zero.

It would summon Kormir and she’ll grant you the answer to any question of your choice.

1) You get a shield to rival Flameseeker Prophecies, except instead of the original prophecy inscribed on the pages, you get the GW2 manifesto.

2) Captain Planet is summoned as a hero to fight by your side

You get the Gift of Legendaries, which is 1/4th of what you need to get an “Epic” weapon. And you think getting a legendary takes awhile…

A voice-over plays saying we’ve cleared the entrance to the citadel of flames. Shortly after you realise you can dual wield greatswords and have a new skill called 200 blades wich you can cast while moving it has 1200 range and a 4 second immobilise

Holy crap guys I just came back from work and saw your guys great responses from my thread! PLEASE keep coming up with great myths or experiences and thank you for making this an awesome thread so far!-the goal is for the developers to have fun and join in also
p.s. When you throw 4 Legendaries into the forge Chuck Norris rises from the forge riding on the back of Zhaitan wearing a panda hat and quaggan backpack.

Four legendaries to create an infinite legendary, now thats what u call legendary…account bound, ability to change to any weapon type and has awesome effects.
