I am aiming for the Incinerator dagger, got the 3 gifts just missing the precursor. Trying to get it by putting 4 lvl 80 rare daggers in the mystic forge. In my last attempt i got a rare axe…. Was this a glitch? I always thought i would get another rare/exotic dagger.

Yeahh that happens sometimes. Last week I put 4 rare greatswords in and got a bow. Zommoros was probably going to give you a precursor but changed his mind.

Be lucky it was an axe and not an underwater precursor.

Yeah because a rare axe is superior to a underwater precursor

Random is random… and random isn’t usually nice :S

I think he means that an underwater precursor, despite being technically better, would hurt more because the precursor SHOULD have been spark.

You sure you put in 4 daggers? I’ve had times where I mixed up the sword as GS and got something random back.

Its an absurdly rare occurrence when you put 4 of the same and got a random out. Iv had it happen once with all my MF dealings.

BTW if you are really devoted to getting your precursor why not use 4 exotics? At least then you are guaranteed an exotic.
