If I put in 4 exotic weapons all level 76, is my chance of getting a level 80 out low?

Does anyone know the answer? I would just as soon sell them if my chances of getting a level 80 out is slim.

I’d sell them tbh, unless you are after a precursor and are willing to keep flushing them down the toilet. If its a precursor your after then still sell them and use the money to make/buy rares to flush.

I explain how leveling up items in the forge and rarity promotion works.

Precursors are always lv 80. So you’d have to get a roll to get 80 exotic back and not 75-79. Second you have to roll for rarity promotion. If it ends up to yes, you get a precursor, if no, its any other exotic.

74 though does have a high chance of being lv 80 after so its all a matter of getting the roll for Precursor.

Ever tried using mystic forge stones to replace one exotic?
