Hello everybody.

I wonder if throwing weapons in the mystic forge purchased with tokens dungeons have chance to come precursor? Even if the chance is minimal, it is possible?

Any feedback is welcome.

It might’ve been before but I don’t think it’s physically possible to use tokens in the forge anymore.

Yesterday i bought 4 weapons with tokens and throw in mystic forge, come a skybringer… That was my doubt about to come a precursor with tokens.

Yes, you have the same chance throwing in exotics gained from dungeon tokens as you do regular exotics in the mystic forge. Don’t expect to try a 100 times and see a precursor though.

That is allright, i saw one player throw 1500 greatswords and nothing…

Using dung token weapons is how I got 2/3 of the precursors I’ve found (one from random rare trash).

This was back when you could alt swap and still get 60 tokens per run though.

Atm… better off gold wise if you run dung’s and salvage the exotic weapons for the non-craftable inscriptions (rabid/soldier/etc.) and sell those (like 6-7g a pop + whatever ectos you got as well and dark matter for when you do your own). People need them for making their ascended rabid/soldier/etc. items.

Its a good option too salvaging to have a chance to gain a inscription but i will try on mystic forge sometimes, who knows?

I would wait until all this crazyness has calmed down. The supply of those will increase and the cost will go down over time. Same thing with the t2.3.4.5.6 ecto mats. I would suggest you get in on it while it’s hot.

One option for you if you want to forge anyways is to use 3x dung token foci (offhands are the cheapest weapon token wise) and one mystic forge stone (you may have a ton of these from achievements). The forge stone counts as a random weapon so you’ll get a random weapon type out (hence why you just use the cheapest) and gives a slightly higher chance at a named exotic (all precursors are in that category).

The down side is that if you do get a precursor it’ll be of a totally random type Vs. if you’re putting in 4 exotic dung daggers you’ll always get spark if you get a precursor.

Hmm, i understand, its a worth to try then because one exotic weapon always i will have, with mystic forge i will need two more weapons, only 600 tokens per tentative.
