So iirc, if you were to place 4 lvl 80 items in you were guaranteed a lvl 80 item outcome. Is this a new thing or did I not pay attention well before? Because I keep getting between lvl 75-80 outcomes from forge when using all lvl 80s.

They changed it to give those some months back. They said at the time that your chance for a precursor isn’t decreased by this (maybe they increased the odds at that time) and that this allows people to get a wider selection of skins.
