So, general question, what amount of armor do most dungeon bosses have? I know that the tooltip bases your damage off of a “average” armor value, is this in line with boss armor values? I have seen many people comparing direct damage builds (where the damage is affected by enemy armor) and condition damage (where it is not), with no talks as to what the set armor value they use for this calculation is. Does armor vary per boss or even per mob? I would assume that this would have been explored by now, but can find no information on it, any reason?

The tooltip assumes, at level 80, 2600 armor. As far as I can tell, this is the standard armor value for most enemies. There are some alterations, but exceptions are more rare than common.

I don’t have opinions. I only have facts I can’t adequately prove.

They have introduced the husks which have a higher armor.

Is there a definite armor value for the husks? It isn’t listed on the wiki. I guess if armor variance becomes an issue with bosses it will be addressed at that time?

You can probably science it out. The thing is, the stats of all the enemies are a function of their level, so there isn’t any one correct armor value for any one enemy. It is like this with HP, too.

You’ll probably have to feel out which ones have significantly higher/lower armor values.
