My male human mesmer (Anurai Noctaris) is a ship with Logan.

Ships to me means either things that sail on the seas or the action of transporting goods. I have no idea what your use of “ships” means to be able to contribute anything, and “Anurai Noctaris is a ship with Logan” doesn’t clue me in.

Truthfully, I haven’t a clue what you’re talking about or how a name such as Anurai Noctaris has anything to do with Logan.

I’m thinking its a role playing thread where you’re supposed to imagine your char in some sort of (relation)ship with some NPC and post with these relationship combinations.

Uuuh. I guess my Sylvari Revenant with Mordremoth, because she has a thing for tubby plant dragons.

For those wondering, “shipping” is the process of romantically pairing two (usually just two) characters. In a relation"ship."

I avoid doing that with major lore characters, that’s not my kind of fanfic especially not if the idea is to ship a player character with a main game story character (generally considered an RP etiquette no-no in MMO RP, though I’ll never tell anyone they can’t do it … I just won’t put it in my own head canon for what the NPCs are doing), but my guild does joke around with shipping various people’s RP alts with each other.

I also thought this thread would be about sailing – whether we could sail on NPC’s ships or get our own one day.

I haven’t heard anyone use ‘ship’ in this context in years (actually I’ve never heard it, only seen it online). I didn’t realise the term was still in use.

I remember when people didn’t shorten everything. Or pretend that work mean something they don’t. I hate the English language sometimes.

I posted in this forum because I’ve seen many blogposts on tumblr from the English speaking folks about those ships, otps etc.
The German folks are kittened in that topic.
They consider this as a kind of gross. Most of Germans don’t even like Charr or Sylvari.
The English folks are better and more patient for topics like this.

Seems most people don’t know the Urban Dictionary version of “to ship,” which is put two characters together into a relationship that are not together canonically.

My ship is Braham x Zojja. Because sizeplay is hawt.
(But not Braham x Taimi, as that’s just sick. ewewew)

IIRC, I only “called dibs” on Malyck when my Sylvari met him on her personal story (Where Life Goes) and I think my Norn had some non-romantic fun with the crew of the “lost tank” in the “Blacked Out” personal story.

I can’t really remember any NPC that is actively flirting with you or a chance where you can flirt with an NPC.

(although I have no noble human and can’t tell how flirtatious Faren is – I just never connected to the hype around him)
