Why can NPCs use it and not PCs? Does not make sense, let us use the appearance of masks on land.

Been asking for this since the game came out.

I’m not going to watch a half hour video to see an NPC wearing an aqua breather. Perhaps a picture would suffice?

Because “immersion”. Same reason we’re forced to use aqua breathers underwater instead of our normal helmets.

So NPCs get to do what they want and look cool, but…

That NPC obviously got it from the NPC gem store. Now you know where all our waypoint and armor repair money goes.

On land they look like gas masks, which is cool

I would actually wonder why random NPCs gets new, better and more unique features (Hairstyles at first) than our PCs, which by now look like a bunch of clones, mainly when playing Charr, Asura and Sylvari, but Norn and Human are close enough as well.

I would rather not. The gas masks are so cool that we would see more even more humans and less charrs. Us kitties get muzzles :/

Wait…so NPC’s wear rebreathers out of water, but not in lolz that’s golden. if you don’t know what I’m talking about, go do some events where NPC’s jump in the water. you’ll see.
