NPCs in Dungeons
They’re much more useful once you get to season 2 living story instances (they even rez you from downed). They were just always weak sauce in the original dungeons, which have not gotten many changes since launch.
So after completing my personal story and a few dungeons on story mode today, I’m wondering why the NPCs are in the dungeons/instances at all. If they’re going to make the player do all of the work, have the NPCs meet the players at key points. They die every single encounter and have gotten me killed a few times when I missed the V to dodge and instead hit F and tried to revive a fallen NPC.
If they’re going to be part of the story mode, made them deal some actual damage at regular speed for their class/weapons, and make them revive. If you need to make the encounters in story mode tougher (which you wouldn’t need to, it’s for the story, not how well I can stack in a corner), do it, but make it less obtuse.
Given how many times they die and how little damage they do I’m not surprised Snaff died.
