I really wish ArenaNet would add a bigger amount of content within reasonable time frames. While the Living Story is fun and enjoying to play the feeling does not last long. I’m not one of those players that speeds through everything to say “I did it”, I am one of those players that takes his time to enjoy the game and experience the true beauty of each update. An expansion filled with as much or more content as the original release would make me extremely happy, and I feel there are reasons why it would benefit the player base that fell in love with GW2. I’m really at a loss at how some players that have been playing since launch can continue to run the same 8 dungeons over and over. There have been slight changes and adjustments, but I really wish there would be new story mode and explorable dungeons. I’m not talking about one or two either.
I find myself at a loss when I play GW2 now. I’m doing the same things over and over. Fractals are fun you say? Well where do they lead you? I’m just another voice speaking my opinion. I want bigger content launches, and I want them now rather than later
Thank you for reading,

I beleive anet miscalculated with their development cycle. The game has gone on too long without a substantial increase in content. They also made some misteps
my feeling is they will have some lower earnings this quarter, and probably the next. How they choose to adapt to this situation, and what they do about it, will essentially decide the future of the game.
@phys.7689,
I believe the same thing. They’ve survived so long off of what was initially created, and it did get them pretty far, but there has to be a major, and I mean major increase in content soon, not later. I really hope something gives them a wake up call soon

You can say that they need a massive injection of content soon, but more content = more production time. There’s no escaping that fact.
If you looking for the amount of content that was in the core game, you’d be looking at least anywhere between 1 year – 2 years from conception to release.
IMO, they’re better off putting that content in as they are now amounting to an expansions-worth, rather than having sporadic updates for the next year or two and then giving the content in bulk, because you know that bulk of content won’t last at least half the players more than a few months, and we’ll be in the same position; people on the forums complaining that there isn’t enough content.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
Starting this season LS chapters are going to be repeatable, and LS1 stories are being prepared to match. So if you get bored you can always “farm” your favorite chapters or go back and do things you missed.

Here is why. If they give you more, it costs them more. And let’s face it, most of us never spend anything after buying the game. So, why should they spend more with no return? I really think it’s just that simple. They have no budget for more.

I do believe the OP was speaking in favor of expansions, as in, additional content you pay a small fee for. So yeah, they’d have some return on that.
Also, I think it’s cool that they make us cheapskates free content just because they want to. Or if there is some nefarious plot behind it to make more money somehow, I guess I fail to see it.
Free content updates -> People throwing money at BLTC -> Profit?
That’s how it works? If that’s ANets idea of nefarious moneymaking plot, I’m all for it. Definitely the kinda nefarious I can live with.
And it’s good that they listen to the community and made the LS episodes permanent, and the way they implemented it seems alright so far.
However, I’d still like to see proper expansions with actual new areas instead of wishy-washy micromaps that feel detached from the rest of the game.
People who can’t tend to call the opponent troll, scream something utterly incomprehensible
and finally result to personal insults.

Precisely!

They’ve survived this long off of compulsive spenders and cash shop addicts.
