Necro GS
We also have NPC mesmers using blinks on walls. Give that to WwW, please.
its been seen. We have an NPC Necro (frac) using a Hammer and now an NPC Necro with a GS. Give it to us please.
sure
Trahearne gets a GS
Marjory gets a GS
So, umm…about that GS for my necro?
What if they just altered the form of Death Shroud to look like you are a shadowy figure wielding a shadowy great sword and the skill animations are modified to suit the new style? Would that suffice?
Warrior – The New Burninator! Strongbad would be so proud!
Guardian – Burn for you, heal for me, block for me and uh…sorry Im all out of gifts.
Yeah, it’s not fair. Why do Trahearne and Jory use a GS while my Necro doesn’t? I’m pretty sure she can hold it up just fine.
I was just about to post something about this….I think Anet should spread the GS wealth lol
It doesn’t make sense, honestly, that they get to use greatswords but the other classes without them are lacking the ability. And with three different Greatsword legendary weapons it’s almost stuck in my head that the developers REALLY like the weapon type. And as said above, the recent addition of a character using a greatsword as a necromancer (and Trahearne before her), why not? I say enough with the dual class speculation, just throw the necromancers a bone. Mesmers are a light-armor class and THEY get greatswords, so why not?

This is all preparations for extending the weapon sets for all professions. Necromancers get greatswords. Engineers get mace and torch. Ranger gets hammer. Mesmer gets main pistol and horn (with flute like skills). Warrior gets dual daggers. Elementalist gets hammer. Thief gets main sword and off-hand axe. And Guardians gets longbows.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Trahearne can also summon multiple Flesh Golems at once, Marjory can make a bone bridge, Kasmeer can blink multiple times in succession and across chasms and during the last chapter Countess Anise could use Decoy and remain stealthed in perpetuity.
Also Taimi rides Scruffy, when do we get mounts?

where did… any of this come from? Why would mesmer get a pistol… Mes already has 3 ranged weapons. MH Sword for thief… they already have that. Ele getting hammer???

In one of the earlier LS2 instances at Fort Salma, Marjory uses a warrior shout (Shake It Off iirc) so while we’re at it give my Necro a secondary profession to go with that GS. >.>

Trahearne ? Be careful what you wish for, else you end with godly greatsword powers like that
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

I’d take Rifle for Thieves as a 1200 range weapon with possibly a trait to increase range. Trait name would be ‘Sniper’.
I was thinking the same thing… Two NPC necros with GS.
Maybe its a sign that its coming… soon.
Also would like to see Rangers with Rifles as well.

Colin Johanson said in an interview somewhere that we will most likely be getting additional weapons for all of the classes, and that they would probably take existing weapons and give them to classes that were not already able to use them before introducing entirely new weapons to the game.
He also said that things like this would eventually come in either the form of living story or a full-sized expansion.
I’m sure everyone would love to have new skills/weapons at their disposal, and the developers do intend to do this at some point….. we just have no idea when.
I am absolutely down with the idea of a Necromancer with a greatsword. People already posted in the forums agonizing over how cool Chiroptophobia would be with Necros. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chiroptophobia_Greatsword_Skin
And while we are at it, give my Engineer a hammer. Seriously, let me have a melee weapon (and no, I don’t count the wrench tool kit).

Actually, I would like to see:
Necromancer: Greatsword
Engineer: Hammer
Ranger: Mace
Thief: Rifle
Elementalist: Shortbow
Mesmer: Ax (MesmersWithAxes!)
Guardian: Longbow (yeah, same here)
Warrior: Torch… Main-hand!
That is my opinion at least.

I second this.

I want ele to have sword and shield. like… really bad
I doubt we well see any new weapon until after they get done adjusting the current ones. That being said I would not be too hopeful as they are terrified of power creep so the will probably be situationally useful at best or addition subpar options.
