Need NOTE: Karma armor set NOT Salvagable
Old news. You can still put it in the forge for the possibility of getting something salvageable.

The problem is that certain sets (namely WvW sets) may have valuable upgrade items applied to them, but it is impossible to extract them using a BLTC salvage kit, forcing people to buy the more expensive upgrade extractors.
I do think there should be a note, it may be old news to you serkit, but there’s NOTHING in game that warns you that you cannot salvage the armour.
Alot of new players start with karma gear. I’d say many would think twice if they new it virtually useless once you decide to move on from it.

Just an FYI, there is no scenario in which you can justify the cost of using an Upgrade Extractor to pull out a Rune/Sigil/Orb/Mark. It is always cheaper to buy a new one. Upgrade Extractors work for high powered infusions because those can run into the hundreds of gold making it worth it to save them.
That said, I do think that gear that cannot be salvaged should have a red text note in the description.
I do not see an argument against adding a ‘Non-salvageable’ note on Karma gear. Though its never been a problem for me personally, I do understand that it could be for others.
I’ve been victim to a similar lack of information on items before (ex. Ascended “unique” status meaning only one could be on a character).
I have some karma pants in my bank. Not sure what to do with them…
