Hi im having a problem in GW2 atm, i just reached lvl 80 with the HoT xpac and have no idea what to do in terms of endgame content, and how to even begin doing it. So what do people find enjoyable as their own end game content, as i heard theres alot to do in Gw2 endgame, and if you could tell me how to begin and get on the right track that would be cool. For all those who reply, sorry for taking up your time and thanks for the help you provide! (Btw im fine with doing anything for endgame content, so dont feel like you shouldnt post it cause it looks stupid or something, i wanna see all the awesome stuff you guys do and how you do it

My endgame content is leveling alts….

But I imagine most normal folks do a combination of the following:

WvW or PvP – these menu buttons are across the top left of the screen. I won’t try to pretend to have any idea how to help you get started with PvP content.

Farm dynamic events and world bosses for gold/mats for Ascended/Legendary gear – Silverwastes or the new HoT zones are good places to find groups running these. Once you’ve been running for a while you’ll become familiar with the timing and locations for various events.

Fractals and Dungeons – Usually you’ll need exotic lvl 80 gear and a group of 5 people for the Fractals. Dungeons gear requirements are less strict. You’ll have to run each dungeon once in Story Mode to be able to do Explorable modes afterwards. Dungeon entrances are located all around Tyria and the Fractal portal is in Lion’s arch.

Raids – Never raided myself, but I hear that typically you will need to have acquired ascended gear but some groups may start with exotic level gear. You can get ascended by crafting or getting drops from world bosses and in Fractals. The raid entrance is in Verdant Brink and I think they’ve added a link in the Lion’s Arch Aerodrome.

World Completion – completing all zone hearts, vistas and points of interest in every zone. No prerequisites required.

Endgame goals folks typically chase are:
- to get better at their chosen game content (WvW, PvP, Fractals, Raids, JPs, etc)
- to acquire rare equipment and items like Legendary weapons
- to unlock the perfect wardrobe options to get the look the want for their character’s armor (aka Fashion Wars)
- to Role-Play and advance their character’s own background and story
- to make as much gold as possible (often via trade post speculation)
- a bunch of others I haven’t thought of because I only level alts.

Live, learn, level up.

Endgame in Guild wars 2 can be a lot of things depends on your interest. For some, it’s the world vs world where you do offense/defense for your home server against the enemy server. For other, it can be PvE game mode, such as map completion, dungeons, raid, World boss, map event meta, champ train ect.

If you want to do high end fractals or raid, I suggest to craft ascended armor and weapons which will take time but worth it to get rewards later on. Learn the boss fight mechanics before going to join the group will give a huge advantage and also be helpful to the team. Additionally, learn how to play your class correctly will give benefits to your group (buffs, condi clear, boon removal, ect.)

If you like to look pretty in Fashion Wars 2, you can craft legendary weapons which is costly but doable if you set a long term goal for it. Best ways to obtain in game gold are varies, you should do some researches before you decide to craft a legendary weapons.

For World vs World, as a beginner, you need to learn how to survive in big scale combat aka. Zerg vs Zerg (ZvZ.) when you become a veteran wvwer, you can join a hardcore team and do Guild vs Guild (GvG.) Or just be a roamer on map and slaughter any wanderer on your path lol

Last but not least, PvP is also fun endgame content if you are a competitive player. After a lot of practices to master your class, you can either do ranked team during PvP seasons to get to Legendary or hot join to fight random players.

There are a lot of things in GW2 that are fun to play. You can pick one game mode and be pro at it, or just enjoy all of them at once. It is your choice to make it endgame for you OP. Hope you find something you really enjoy playing in the game, cheers!

It depends on what you like.
Some players acctually like to grind and make 10x exploration to craft 20 legendary wepons, sell them and become rich af.

Others like to enjoy PvP.

And there is bunch of players who will play WvW all the time just because it’s crouded and always fun (at least if you are on WvW active/populated server).

Or do more PvE … get all 166 masteries, all stories and achivements … will take you years to get them done all lol
Create all possible characters and make them level 80 + unlock all skills.

Just go to achivement tab and see what you haven’t done yet.

Google “Guild wars 2 boss timer”, and kill every possible boss there is.

Oh and did I mention achivements? There doesn’t seem to be the end of them xD
