Hey,

So I have a restricted amount of time I can spend on GW2 a day, what is the best way to make gold?

I used to run dungeons ( AC P1, SE 1/3, CoF P1 ) but that’s only about 6gold ~45mins ( PUGS are slow, don’t have a dedicated guild yet ).

I’ve always done Tequatl, simply because I have great luck with the chests and it’s usually 4-5gold in profit.

But recently, I’ve found out that the Silverwastes might be a better place to farm, averaging 8-10 gold an hour. Should I stop running daily dungeons and do Teq + SW or should I do AC P1, SE 1 and the rest SW + Teq or something similar, I’m all about optimisation.

What’s the most efficient way to make gold? Is there other any viable way?

Sorry but not many people will advertise their money making methods especially if it involves farming and selling items. If they did then lots of people might do the same and then the prices would drop, thereby killing the farm route.

All I can advise is keep running dungeons, SW and Teq if that is what you currently do. Maybe join a dungeon running guild.

1. Maize balm farm in bloodtide, if people are decent you can make like 10g/30min but it`s affected by diminishing returns after about 12-13g/character so you cant farm endlessly. DR wears off in few hours.
2. SW events/breaches.
3. SW chestfarm.

also if you have too much karma/spirit shards you can convert it to gold.

if you got tons of karma to dump simply go to bloodtide where the crab guy heart npc is at buy tons of Fine light armor gloves mystic forge them and then salvage what you get and sell all the linen and cotton on the TP

So you don’t need helping making money, you simply want someone to tell you how to make more money than the arguably solid money making system you already have.

L2TPflip if you want more than 10g/hr, but you won’t hit those figures until you get a large enough pool of gold to invest with. Won’t get into specifics as it could threaten my own gold making.

Besides TP, you listed the two absolute best ways to make money (besides the balm farm, but Critical Lag mentioned the caveat to that system).

The best way is to play the Trading Post.

Since you are restricted in the amount of time you can play, you can use this to your advantage with the trading post.

Example: the price of silk has a predictable high and low price that it hits every day. If you put buy orders in at the low price, you can get this silk and use it to craft ascended mats every day for a quick small profit.

If you look hard, there are plenty of other markets where you can buy items below current prices and/or sell items higher than current prices. Nobody will give these away on a public forum, so you have to find these out for yourself.
