Guild Wars 2

Currently at 174/175 for Shiverpeak explorer. I noticed something was missing and it was Ulukk’s hunger. Wiki says I can’t access it unless I have to be in the personal story doubt.

I thought to myself, probably this is just an extra area. I checked a list of areas that can be also found in the wiki: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Bluestone/Explorer

The number of areas are 175 and that includes the one mentioned above. I’ve been trying to find this area for hours and can’t still find it. Suggestions or any kind of help would be appreciated. T_T

It can’t be that area, and as far as I know if you approach the blocked entrance of the cave the area wil uncover anyway, if I recall properly…
Have you been into the Griffons puzzle in Lornar’s though? It was the last area I missed there back then, maybe it can help (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Griffonrook_Run_ )

Thanks for the help about the Magellan memento. I haven’t explored that area yet even though I already finished all the jumping puzzles. Unfortunately, it didn’t give me area completion but rather just an achievement point for reaching the chest.

Yup, mine happened to be that one, I only uncovered it because I decided to go hunting those explorer achievements, was quite a shock when the shiverpeaks explorer popped up finished. My most educated guess is that yours is something similar

And generally run the whole list of shiverpeak jumping puzzles and explorer achievements. I had a similar situation with the Maguuma for the longest time, turned out the two I was missing there were the Cubular Fells, and Diedre’s Steppes jumping puzzles, which I never knew were there at all before taking to the wiki to try and find where those achievements were lol

You don’t actually have to get inside it, but just walking up to the door near the waypoint in snowden drifts should open it if you don’t already have it

I don’t remember how I accessed Ulukk’s Hunger. It may have been via personal story. Forsaken Halls (which is in the NE corner of Dredgehaunt Cliffs) is accessed from Wyrmblood Lake. I think I did personal story to get that one and got the Ulukk’s Hunger at the same time. It’s been awhile.

The one I was missing was the Lair of the Coil in the SE corner of Timberline Falls. My sister was missing Tribulation Caverns behind the veteran at Tribulation Rift vista in Dredgehaunt.

If it’s actually Ulukk’s Hunger you’re missing, you can trigger the map discovery for it simply by walking into the ice wall that covers the entrance. No need to do a personal story mission there.
