So i found this picture while reading, one person pointed it out from the new anniversary trailer.

To me it has a similar style to the new ascended greatswords. I think it looks amazing, especially the four points that come together and the ‘globe’ in the middle. Plus, it’s huge. The colour looks similar to the condition stat greatsword.

The ending was kinda anticlimactic. .-.

These ascended weapons looks ugly… how is it a skin from champs like Genesis or Crystal Guardian looking light years ahead of this boring brown crap?

That staff does have a lot of “visual impact”, unlike most of the shy skins we’ve gotten for this weapon type.

I think most weapon skins in this game look like crap, but these ascended weapons actually look pretty good. They remind me of the destroyer weapons in Guild Wars 1. I’d take this “boring brown crap” any day over the fluffy white unicorn weapons that we have now.

I love some of the Ascended Greatswords, and can’t wait to see all the different color plays on the staves and scepters. My only concerns with the distinct coloration are:

-having to transmute just to get the color I want with the stats I want, if this even works. I mean, if I want the zerker greatsword, but I want the condition sword color….

-distinctly ‘advertising’ what stats you’re using. people are going to make assumptions based on the color, even if you do transmute it.

Minor in the grand scheme of things I suppose.

I personally think that the crystal guardian looks boring for my taste. This staff looks like it holds a great magical power. I think for a craft-able weapon, it looks pretty epic. It ain’t all about floating parts and glows. All down to personal preference i guess. But calling it ugly is a bit far.

Its a weapon for stats, we can all put a skin onto it to fit our tastes.

Yeah im really looking forward to seeing the white one <3 Shame that you have to make two of the things to get the colour you want.

I think a much better idea would have been to have an extra craftable slot that determines the colour outcome.

Oddly i can see a few people having bonk stats just for the colour ;p

I hate the GS look and this staff isn’t looking any better to me if all the ascended weapons share this kind of look I’m not going to bother crafting them.

I think so far they look very different from what we have now event to the point of having a chose what color they look like we may see more wepon dye like chose soon. Its not about if you like this look or not its more about how different it looks from other things so there is over all more chose.
