Please tell me it’s not going to be easy to get, so that not every single person in the game will have one and ruin it. I am hoping its really hard to get and makes you work for it. Please ANET don’t ruin them. T__T
What do you think (or know) is going to happen with them.

I am hoping this will release soon. I was thinking maybe something was forgot in todays patch because I don’t see any way to get these beautiful wings.

I’m conflicted, I made some posts earlier about wanting more things that could work for norn. This is clearly one that can be associated with Raven, but yeah, I see half of the playerbase wearing these and me having flashbacks rifting to Asmodae. Eh… to gawdy for gw2.

It will be very kittenly ppl able to spend money on gems, or with enough gold to convert will have it.

They often release armour/weapon pieces to the preview wardrobe before adding them into the gemstore. (They did the same with Glint’s Gaze Mask… it was available the following week).

We shouldn’t have to wait too long. It makes me happy thinking that this backpiece was probably a remodel of the model used in the lich costume in GW1. So many people were complaining that the GW2 lich costume didn’t have these wings. Now we have out solution with a huge amount more application! I predict seeing winged characters everywhere within the next couple of weeks

This is a nice back skin, but it will be so common that 70% of a WvW zerg will be “birds”.
I like rare ones more.

Repeatedly asked for Angel Wings in game. What does Anet do, it makes black ones. GG, how about some nice white Angel wings please???? Also, please hire whomever you need to make some nice clean designs.

if THIS was the case, then I would use it as a glider skin! Just not looking forward to everyone with giant bulky “doesn’t really fit here” wings.

Everyone and their mum’s brown dog will most likely be running around with these. Happens in every game that releases ‘wings’ in general.

Where did you see that the Hang Gliders won’t be skinnable? They’d better be skinnable, because the preview looked pretty ugly to me. Not much like a glider or wings. And way too small. This item is nice, but I doubt I’ll get it as a back item. Way too large and view-blocking for something non-functional. Would love ’em as a hang glider skin.

Honestly who cares if everyone and their mother will be running around with them? I know I won’t because I’ll be to busy enjoying how amazing and awesome my character is going to look with them \o/

I would be extremely surprised(about as surprised as seeing someone throw away a sack of money) if the gliders weren’t skinnable.

Those wings will be everywhere, will be obtrusive and a eyesore but I must have them!

So in the dungeon, imagining 5 people with those huge black wings stack in the corner.

Yeah, I just happened to be designing the outfit I’ll be putting my Revenant in when I came upon them. They’re perfect for him, so I need them to exist now, not just as an image in the wardrobe.

There are going to be SO MANY black winged folk running about soon. Meh.

I’m sure that, like the glowing eye masks, we’ll see differently colored versions of them soon enough.

Better to get it out of the way now, when the overall game story is fairly quiet, than later when HoT goes live.

I hope “hide backpacks” option will come soon. Those wings are not belong to this game. Looks plain kittened.

No proper looking wings – people compalin. Now devs made proper looking wings – people complain. Crazy thing. I personally like the backpack. Much better then the tons of ugly looking wing backpacks – Teq wings, Hologramic, shatterer, Spinal blade- all look terrible. That ones look properly made and normal size to get off the ground whole human or norn. Would be sweet if gliders skin can be changed because that wings would fit perfectly as a glider skin.

Finally, those who have bought the Raiment of the Lich can complete the GW1 Look with these wings. But they are as ugly as hell.

Finally the stuff that people want from a fantasy game, and not some medieval hobosack from Queensdale!

Yes, they will be overused, but for the same reason as t3 human cultural light, t3 human cultural medium and flower hair are overused: there are not enough options which are equally cool. Want them gone? Give more equally cool options!

I’m a bit disappointed though that it’s not a legendary/ascended backpack which requires certain substantial achievements in a thematic zone to get it… But on the other hand, no boring SW scale of grind, yay!
