This is my first thread on the GW2 forum so apologies if I’m breaking any rules or anything like that. I dunno, I’d like you guys’ advice. I have a nasty habit of creating new characters and never getting anywhere with old characters cause I always end up making new ones. I’ve been playing since the game was released and only have a level 59 Engi and a level 56 Guardian. The rest are 30 or below. Here’s the thing : every time I drop the game then pick it back up I don’t want to continue a player, I wanna kinda experience the game from the start again. Especially since I kinda liked the story and I forget what happens during it. Also keep in mind I’m more of a casual WvW kinda guy.

This time, I made another Sylvari Engineer despite the fact I already have a level 59 Engi. There is literally no reason for me to have made a new one :s I don’t wanna delete my old one either since he’s getting all these birthday bonuses. So here’s my options :
1) Finish my Lv 59 Sylvari Engineer, despite the fact I’d be lost in the story.
2) Power through my current Lv 21 Sylvari Engineer
3) Use my Level Up to 80 Tome on my new Sylvari Eng and go back and just do the story, 100% each map, wait for the expansion, etc etc.

I’d appreciate y’alls input and advice!

I would recommend finishing level the engineer. Have your guild mates assist so you can do the dungeons. If the guild you belong to is not assisting then find one that you can mesh with. Some guilds only want numbers others are willing to assist with enjoying the game. But do try and reach 80. You are over halfway there.

It takes very little effort to hit 80, and when HOT comes out youll then have an easier time getting the awesome specializations unlocked (disregard ele/guard)

Might as well just get it all to 80 rather than clogging your character slots up with half done characters.

I recomend leveling that one to 80 fast and then either go through the personal story or ignore the personal story on that one and create another toon just for the personal story. The second one you can delete and recreate as wanted. The first you keep for level 80 content.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.
