You have really been outdoing yourselves with the music, I remember thinking that the combat music in heart of thorns was soo much better than the core games and now this! the battle song that builds up to the choir part came on as I was battling the Hydra for the first time and I was just blown away by how epic it felt, thank you for putting so much quality and work into this expac.

Jermey Soul isn’t that good. But whoever did these soundtracks for PoF and HoT is seriously talented at ArenaNet and I am glad they aren’t using Jermey Souls anymore.

My favorite song is still Mordermoth final battle.

It’s matter of preference. I love core gw2 and gw1 music – aka Soul’s soundtrack. I don’t like HoT nor PoF music. Also I find combat music annoying so I just disable it.

All the music in PoF is amazing.

The character select music was a bit of a letdown, but the rest was good.

Yes, the demo theme music is .. a bit questionable, compared to the rest of it. Its even more soft and mellow than the map music itself.

Put one of those epic combat themes as the main theme !

IIRC, Lief and Lana Chapelle are ANet’s head composers now.

It’s Maclaine Diemer, folks!

He composed the music for LS1, 2 and 3. But the Battle on the Beachmaker was composed by Lena Chappelle. She also composed Sanctum Sprint theme. Twisted Marionette Battle theme was composed by M. Diemer.

In LS2 he composed almost all of the soundtrack- Shadow of the Dragon, The Silverwastes and Dry Top music- this ‘sandy’ music can be heard in the PoF map. L. Chappelle composed the Mystery Cave one.

In HoT L. Chappelle composed Battle for Tarir, Tarir the Forgotten City and Mordremoth Theme. Rest of the HoT soundtrack was composed by M. Diemer.

Lion’s Arch themes were composed by M.D.- Lament of LA, LA’s Reborn, also LA’s rebuild.

In LS 3 only M.D. was composing the music- I love Demmi Theme, Caudecus Theme, oh and I forgot to mention he composed all of the Raid music.

Balthazar Theme was composed by M.D. and also Brendon Williams (most likely a new GW2 composer) it seems he likes to use choir voices (‘Liberus Balthazar’ for example in this theme) I think the Combat Music you mentioned was composed by B. Williams, M.D. likes to use instruments.

PS. L. Chappelle left GW2 right after HoT launched.

Nope, she left GW2 Team right after HoT launched (she is a transgender and she was Leif then).
The head composer is Maclaine Diemer for like 3-4 years. J. Soule composed the music for GW 1 and 2 but he was never a part of GW2 Team.

I thought Lief and Lana were married to each other? Could have sworn there was an interview with both of them.

The PoF Demo main theme is beautiful but I hope it’ll be changed for more epic one like HoT theme or GW2 Overture. I think Balthazar Theme’d fit perfectly.

I like the music that’s used in the new Elite Spec videos on the official website, is there a full version of this anywhere?
