I took some time off from this game before the big balance patch but it wasn’t that long. I remember there being different dailies for PvE and PVP. I remember having options primarily being a PvE player on how I wanted to do my dailies, but that no longer exists.

Every since the balance patch came out, I have exactly 5 PvE options to complete my daily. I know that this is absolutely a self centered way of thinking, me asking for more options, but let me explain what I go through now.

A few new games recently came out that I have added to the list of games I may play each day. I have always liked this game and was looking forward to this update. Unfortunately, when I’m trying to decide what game to play, GW2 leaves a bad taste in my mouth with the nerf to dps I have to deal with on all my characters. So, I get over that and sign in anyways and find that to complete my daily I either have to 1-3 PvE dailies that are not enjoying at all or I need to go PVP or WvWvW. This is the point when I usually log off and play a different game. If I have the time to stay on for a few hours on days off, this is not any issue but for the days I work and don’t have much time to play, this one simple thing is pushing me towards playing much less of this game then I use to.

I know I can’t ask for the nerf to be removed since many have already failed in that request, but I would like to see more PvE options for the dailies like there was in the past.

As I understand it, there are now 10 daily options. Six are PvE, two are PvP, and two are WvW. The only way this is a “nerf” would be if someone had been relying entirely on PvP for daily. I’m a super casual PvPer and I still managers get eight of the dailies each day with no problem.

As for DPS, well, Anet predicted a 10% drop in DPS for complete zerk builds. That’s, like, the difference between a sigil of night and not. I can’t say any of my builds have suffered in the slightest from this update.

Ahh you are right I suppose on 6 for PvE. The 6th is either dungeon or a fractal so that’s usually off my list unless I have time. Either way, before the patch the 2 that are now PVP were PvE, so I had options that I don’t have anymore. I wasn’t calling that a nerf though, just a reason I find myself going to other games these days.

I only mentioned nerf to the damage and its great to hear you haven’t noticed but it is a nerf and many others have seen much more than 10%. There are many huge threads already addressing it and why it ends up being more than 10% which is why I didn’t want to get into it. I only mentioned it to state it was one of my dislikes. My intention here was only to ask for more PvE options for the dailies.

Like I said above though, when I have time to play for an hour or two, I have no problem getting the dailies done. With a full time job and family, the new setup usually requires more time than I have available on work days because there is often 1-2 long ones. I am sure this is not a problem for many people who have tons of time to play, but its the issue I’m currently running into so that’s why I’m here asking. If others feel the same than maybe I’ll win that tiny lotto where the devs listen. If not then I already know the outcome of my request and I’ll keep playing but probably not as much.

Although I would always welcome more choice, the statement you make of only having 5 PvE choices each day is incorrect. I don’t do Dungeons, Fractals, WvW or PvP for Dailies ever, and I’ve only encountered the ‘5 PvE-only’ situation once. The other days I’ve had 6 choices.

I understand that isn’t much difference, but 6 is as close to 7 (which were often how many non-WvW, PvP, Dungeon, Fractal choices, before) as it is to 5 choices.

Agreed, now dailies are much more annoying since there are way less choices. If tehy wanted to nerf achievement points they should have just limited those to 5-10/day but leave almost double choices to choose from.

IF , otoh, they wanted to “ecourage” something they could have just made it that that"encouraged" daily is worth 2 “points” for daily instead of standard 1 “point”. But leave many choices.
