New Dances - Why the Box instead New Emotes?!

Yes, this kind of thing is why I laugh to myself when people say that Anet is just in this for the money. If they sold emotes and more armor/town skins in the gem store, my wallet might be in trouble. But they don’t take advantage of the gem store as much as they could.

You do realize that all those new fancy things require the gem store still right? New skins in the black lion chest? Gotta buy keys from the gem store. New dances in the box of fun? Gotta buy the boxes in the gem store.
But instead of being able to buy them outright, they make you gamble for them instead. Meaning you have to spend more money gambling, than you would if you could buy them straight up.
To me, that seems like they are in this for the money instead of the convenience. Otherwise, why make us gamble for something when they could sell it to us directly? More money, that’s why.

For anyone that hasn’t seen them yet:
Looks to me like they aren’t “full” dances yet, but dance snippets to whet our appetite for when they are done.
Because it cheaper than creating full dances for each race, that are of actual high quality. They can throw a few easy knock offs into the box with worrying too much about the quality.
Dances have come a long way since GW1 — a long way down. Anyone remember this? It’s a high standard to live up to.
New usable emotes would be nice- sold or not.
Gah, hate the stupid random boxes crap. It needs to die, horribly. Anyone is stupid for buying keys and prolonging bad selling habits, making it worse for the rest of us as consumers.
But that is off topic here – Dances. Not selling emotes like this is another horrible missed opportunity, just like putting skins in boxes that rarely ever drops them.
Regardless if dances are crap or not, whine threads like this are plain pointless.

Aye, I thought their nexon-friendly corporate cash-cow milker would at least have put forward some decent stuff on the gem store.
My guess is they figure they will make more cash in the long run selling the emotes as part of the consumable box than allowing us to enjoy them on a permanent basis.
Whatever, I’m not going to be buying one any time soon.

I agree, would love to see new dances /emotes.
Put them on the gemstore to buy individually or in groups of 5. Anet would make more money doing this and its just pure fun.
