OMG Anet this is amazing…I can finally preview dyes i don’t have from my hero tab instead of using the tp. This helps so much and it also lets me find which dyes i still need to collect!

It sounds great, looking forward to testing it out. Should be a massive help for looking at new dyes and deciding if I want to make a purchase, rather than the hassle of looking in the TP, right clicking to try and put the dye in the right spot, ect.

Funny that there was a suggestion thread just a few days ago asking for this very thing, and now here it is. Not to insinuate that they actually managed to see that suggestion and get it done that fast (as awesome as that would be), I’m sure its been in the works for a while, but a nice coincidence that the timing of the two matched up so well.

People have more than likely been asking for this since wardrobe was introduced to the game. Or even further back to the CDI discussions on QoL stuff. I think its probably safe to say that’s how long it might of been in the works. Probably just had a lot of unexpected bugs to work out.

Its gonna help out soo much though. Especially with seeing the new dyes and trying to get dyes just right if you were, to say, be aiming to match an NPC’s colour scheme.

Now all that’s missing are dye collections..

Collect all Flame and Frost Dyes
Collect all Toxic Alliance Dyes
Collect all Taimi Dyes

The collection list would explode! Do it Anet!

Accessory color is a huge thing that’s missing in terms of dyes/colors.

I strongly approve of this. If nothing else, I can now at least know exactly what dyes I want to get that I don’t already have. It’s rather astonishing how many dyes exist that I didn’t even know about before now.

A system like this was sorely missed for completionists. Also this might give more people motivation to play the slot machine / BLTP in order to get them all.

More dyes!

A little improvement would be to replace the Padlock icon with an image of a Gem for those dyes only available from the gem store.
It would make it that bit easier to see where I need to look for the relevant missing dye.

I don’t think there are dyes only available in Gem Store. As far as I know they all can be sold on TP.

I saw this in the patch notes when I read them earlier today and it made me smile. I can’t wait to get online this evening and check it out.

I also like the addition of the randomized finisher. I’m turning that on as soon as I log in

Yah, I agree with Pockets. I’d rather the dyes stayed non-collection’d just to keep the prices from being artificially inflated by people buying them who don’t even want to use them just for the sake of collections.

A nice step towards getting rid of the redundant preview panel.

All we need now is sending skins to preview directly to the hero panel under a “preview” section like the “Inventory” section you get when you have a mini or skin consumable in your inventory.

When when you preview an item, it’ll be sent there and kept there until you right lick it to remove or log off the game, so you can even switch and preview the stuff on different characters.

Just an FYI…this feature is already present. When right-clicking you are given the options: ‘Set as Favorite’ and ‘Find on Trading Post’ =)

I havent seen the new dye selesction thing because i have every dye in the game lol

This is a really nice thing. I have every dye except the expensive store-only dyes, but it’s nice to see at a glance what is out there that I don’t yet have.

It wasn’t there when I wanted to buy Enameled Emblaze. o.o

I am missing 34 dyes in total…

I was biuying them slowly, but now this created a big rush.. All the ones I’m missing are BLTP dyes from special duye kits, luckily I already have the 20 most expensive ones… they seem to have gone up quiet a bit as well..

Guess I need a precursor drop to buy the remaining dyes now..

I do love the fact I can preview everything now.
